A two hour interview with Frank Herbert digitized from a tape recording from 1965. Here Herbert lament the creation of "virtually indestructible" plastics and ecologically destructive habits of "Western Man", how Herbert read 200 books (or so) for research for the creation of 'Dune', how ecology is "the science of understanding consequences" (he doesn't know where he picked this idea up but adapted it as his own, "A lovely expression") and how the book’s ending was intended as “high camp.”
There's a lot to hear in this including his pronunciations of terms and people in 'Dune'. Recommended listening.
