I know that we are reducing our carbon print on the earth, so let me just say that this pack of straws were bought a while ago and sat in my pantry for of so long. This morning they came to share a miracle. My boy who is a picky eater, was moody for breakfast. After staring into space for a while, I ask him what he would like instead of what he had in front if him. He said ,'milk'. AWESOME, but I had to serve it differently for him to associate with the milk when it was served as compared to other bottles he drank his water from. So I got a glass, poured the milk in and served it with a straw. He was excited to choose the colour of the straw. Growing up in a convent I was drilled in ethics and morality. It was clear as black and white, right and wrong. Then I became an autism mom, my world is now filled with Grey. In this shade I dont have a handbook, are my actions right if it helps me? Or should I do what society tells me to, even if it is not working for my situation?
