Are you interested in helping create a new research study? The FACE Lab at Emerson College is launching a new study on intersectionality in autism.
They are looking for autistic adults from a wide range of racial, ethnic, gender, and cultural backgrounds to record brief videos for our study. These videos will be used to learn more about how different aspects of identity influence how we are perceived by others.
Participation involves one half-hour, recorded, interaction with a member of their research team via Zoom. The FACE Lab will provide you with a $10 Amazon gift card to compensate you for your time.
If you are interested, please complete this short form and they will reach out to you. The deadline to fill out this form is March 31st. If have any further questions about this project, the google form has a section for you to ask them.
Thank you for your interest! Please complete this very brief survey and we will reach out to you soon.
[ID: a tweet that reads: “The fact that people online can rapidly accept "bones/no bones" as a framework for understanding the energy of the day without further explanation really reinforces that society empathizes with animals more than disabled + neurodivergent folks. 🤷” End ID]
We need your help fundraising our new service Dogs for Divergents! We would love for this service to eventually provide low/no cost service dogs to autistic teens and adults, but we can’t without your help!
Please email [email protected] if you wish to make a donation specifically for this program, and we thank you for your support.
Reminder that not everyone has access to formal diagnoses- they are widely inaccessible because of discrimination due to gender, race, sexuality, age, and are also quite expensive. Getting a formal diagnosis is a privilege.
