It's called tactile allodynia. It's pretty benign and usually temporary. Can be a migraine symptom.

I still don’t know why I was experiencing it, since I didn’t have a migraine (or fit any of the other common reasons listed on wikipedia), but at least it stopped early this afternoon, so. I won’t worry about it for now anyway.

Where did you adopt her from? If she was around other dogs, pneumonia is really common and you should probably take her for a checkup at the vet. If she starts wheezing or breathing heavily its probably pneumonia.

We adopted her from a small rescue organization nearby. She had been with them about a week before we picked her up, and just this week she got her second round of shots at the vet and she also got spayed. We thought maybe she had gotten an infection there, but we brought her back to the shelter people, told them all the symptoms and let them see her, and they don’t think it was anything so bad. They gave her antibiotics, some fever reducer, an injection to ease her stool, and a few other pills to keep her on this week. She’s feeling a whole lot better right now, but if she does get worse we will take her to the vet.
