wada sez: A strip focused on the Kronoform characters, giving them origins as some of Shockwave’s experiments. Autoceptor and Kaltor are existing names; Deceptor doesn’t show up here, presumably due to his Decepticon allegiance, and has been replaced by two new characters. “Timor” is an obvious pun, while “Tobor” is “robot” backwards—I’m not sure what their designs are inspired by. I’m also not sure of the intent behind “Dysonium”, which predates its independent creation as a fictional element on The Orville by a decade. The scientist on the leftmost monitor in the first panel is Jhiaxus; the other two scientists on the screens are generics, according to the artist on deviantART. Tim Shinn’s involvement with the strip is more intense than you might think, which you’ll see happens basically every time he works on one; I’ve posted his WIP breakdown explaining what I mean by that below the break.
