Termino de releer El hereje, de Miguel Delibes. La novela está basada en un acontecimiento real, los Autos de fe contra luteranos que se llevaron a cabo en Valladolid en mayo y octubre de 1559. Delibes crea al personaje de Cipriano Salcedo, con el que caminamos a lo largo de toda su vida, desde su trágico nacimiento, el odio de su padre, su ingreso en el colegio de expósitos, su formación intelectual, el contacto con los erasmistas y luteranos, su matrimonio, La locura y muerte de su esposa, su encarcelamiento, la tortura y el fin de su vida. Es una novela dura, especialmente la tercera parte, donde se recrea la captura de los herejes por parte de la Inquisición, la tortura y las sentencias del auto. Además sirve como documento revelador de las condiciones de vida en la Valladolid del XVI, usos y costumbres de la población, gastronomía, moda, etc. Me gustó mucho más la primera vez que la leí, pero me ha vuelto a sobrecoger su lectura. Recomendable para todos, especialmente para los amantes de la historia de España y de la historia de la religión. my favorite perfume changes all the time; it’s gone from marc jacobs daisy to taylor swift’s whatever it’s called to a simple lavender essence one from whole foods. my favorite candle is a mulberry one that i got from apple hill like two years ago that i’ve used all of :(((
