Inspired by La Roux’s fantastic new album ‘Supervision’, here is Elly Jackson in her International Woman Of Leisure gear. It’s a joyful album and I hope I captured something of that here. Made in Super and regular Sculpey.

Despite a few setbacks, La Roux has come back bigger and better than ever, cementing her status as a pop provocateur once more with her latest single, 'Automatic Driver.'
Following on from 'Gullible Fool' and the funky 'International Woman of Leisure,' the track is buoyed by a deceptively upbeat melody and summery guitars as Elly Jackson resigns herself to the fact that ‘I wanted to manage information/Find the automatic driver/Oh, I'll find it/Woah, but I'm still so in love/Imagine how much I'm crying/Oh, I'm crying/Oh, woah.’ The video, meanwhile, actually makes golf interesting by turning it into a day-glo arcade paradise.
Jackson says about the song (via The Line of Best Fit):
‘‘Automatic Driver’ is about finding out who in a relationship is on autopilot. In our case, it turns out it was both of us. I was surprised, even while I was first singing it, by what was coming out of my mouth.’
‘Automatic Driver’ is from La Roux’s forthcoming album Supervision, out February 7 via Supercolour Records.
