Shift is all giggles and excitement, their nails lightly digging into his hand... Just a little too hard in their excitement. Dancing is nothing they're used to, but they like the closeness of it all. They press themself close to him and wrap their arms around his neck, laughing again softly, eagerly.

   It wasn't a job he wanted really, spying on people was part of bounty hunting, but that didn't mean it felt any less invasive and irritating. Bars just weren't his kind of thing. Too many bad experiences one could say, too many nights spent listening to annoying people that turned into a fight- which then turned into paying the owners for the damage and blood all over. Just a mess all around. Couldn't take Tsuku in here either. An annoyed grunt at the reminder that the “dog” had to remain outside.

   What do you even order in this country ? An annoyed scowl on his face as he stares at the menu before him, couldn't have anything familiar could they ? ‘Course what was “familiar” was about… two kinds of drink… Didn’t really help that he still struggled with reading english, speaking it ? Fine. Understanding it ? Good. Reading, now that was still a bit of a hurdle. Raising a hand to his face to cover his eyes for a moment before raising his other to call over the bartender.

“Can’t you?” Otto questioned, curiosity building. “You haven’t done anything heinous have you? Holding out on me, are you?” It was easier to deflect, to not admit the guilt eating away at him in that moment for all the blood he shed and consumed. He was a particularly hungry vampire — not easily sated, if ever. 

It was smart of Kane to keep his distance. Otto wondered if he knew that himself. He didn’t bother with moving his hand from his. It was comforting in a way he couldn’t afford. “I don’t think you’re qualified to repair my soul.” It was cute of him to think so though. “Salvation is not in the cards for me, I’m afraid.”

With a tilt of the head, the jester stared. His gloved thumb stroked Kane’s knuckles, slowly and delicately as if he could break him. He could feel the chill seeping through the material of his gloves but made no effort to move. All he could do was smile more and shrug. “I thought you looked lonely. I don’t like when my friends are lonely! I’d have to fix that, y’know.~” His voice lifted into a sing-song cadence as he smiled innocently. 

“We could have friendship bracelets.” The friendship bracelets in question being matching smiles.

Quiet  for  a  moment,  unsure  whether  to  agree.  Sae  was  used  to  being  alone,  and  he  personally  didn't  care  about  people  being  around  him.  Though,  as  he  was  sitting  there,  he  was  questioning  a  lot  more  than  why  he  was  sitting  there  with  a  random  stranger  for  a  moment.  A  sigh  left  his  lips  for  a  moment,  and  he  looked  up.  Not  really  looking  at  anything,  but  more  in  his  head  than  anything.

"Fine,  whatever."  His  voice  was  low,  and  his  shoulders  shrugged  a  little  bit.  "You  can  stay  if  you  want,  it  doesn't  bother  me,  but  I'm  not  much  of  a  person  who  gives  a  conversation."

When he comes over, they make a show of curtseying, their too-sharp smile turned up towards Kane, eager and excited. They give the impression that if they had a tail? It'd be wagging right about now. He is, they can see, already caught in their trap. Whatever that is.

"far away," they report in that same, weirdly pitched tone that buzzes with an electricity unseen. "i-i-i'm trying to find somewhere, t-tonight to st-stay?"
