yesterday me and my dad were trying to work out aesthetically pleasing ways to represent a 3-way venn diagram (because 3 circles is ugly and boring)

dad came up with this square one:

which is nice, but it's not rotationally symmetrical and the set areas aren't all the same size (one of the single intersects is three times the size of the others!)

I wondered if there was a straight-lines version that used triangles instead of squares to make it rotationally symmetrical, and for a few minutes we deliberated and were pretty sure there wasn't one

but then I found a way!

it's bad

pro: the centre intersect is a hexagon

cons: everything else

I just got cited in a Real Publication for the first time (as far as I know)!

And not only that, they specifically praised my work in comparison to other independent researchers, said they couldn't have done theirs without me, AND mentioned me in the same sentence as the most prominent botanist in the field!!

now that I have a fence again and also a garden table I sat outside to eat breakfast for the first time. it tastes so much better out here, has anyone ever hit on this before

every time I go outside I remember that I should probably be spending at least 50% of my waking hours outside forever, and then every time I'm inside I forget and I think I want to stay here but i don't! it's a trick!!

i especially want to try and learn "go outside" as a reflexive response to any bad feeling at all. it seems harder the worse i feel but that actually just means that it's more important the worse i feel. which seems like an unfair system also but i guess it is what it is

i think it's time to acknowledge that programming is actually very bad for me. even though i am very good at it. it's like one of those tragic xman powers. sure i can fix this website, but at what cost?

A) no one knew who Peter was at all, much less that he was a child. Do you really think they would have ever tried to hurt them if they knew that????

B) how could you say that lying isnt Tony’s prerogative when almost everything he said to Aunt May (and Peter too lmao) was a lie? Call it protecting Peter’s Secret Identity but he is fifteen and his guardian has a right to know that he’s being put in danger, and was continued to be put in danger through the “internship” after

C) I don’t have anything against anyone who likes Stark, especially the 15 year old who got Super Special Treatment from actual Iron Man. Like, come on. Peter almost certainly already looked up to him, and the fact that Stark came to him in person to ask for his help must have absolutely FLOORED him, and then the fact that he gave him a fancy new Spiderman suit? God. Peter isn’t exactly rich and I can understand on a personal level why he might be a bit starry eyed.

D) Why did you make the post in the first place if you didn’t want to cause discourse lol. The purpose of this blog is marvel (specifically anti-tony) discourse like, come on. I’m not a broken record I’m presenting the facts.
