yesterday me and my dad were trying to work out aesthetically pleasing ways to represent a 3-way venn diagram (because 3 circles is ugly and boring)
dad came up with this square one:
which is nice, but it's not rotationally symmetrical and the set areas aren't all the same size (one of the single intersects is three times the size of the others!)
I wondered if there was a straight-lines version that used triangles instead of squares to make it rotationally symmetrical, and for a few minutes we deliberated and were pretty sure there wasn't one
but then I found a way!
it's bad
pro: the centre intersect is a hexagon
cons: everything else
