🥑Update. Split image. On the left, my avacado tree on April 29th. On the right, today, with large new top leaves and a pair of smaller leaves on the second stem. It now lives happily behind UV-blocking privacy film without issue, and is bright green throughout. I was surprised to see 3 #mangotrees rise out of this 1 pot. Now on the bottom left you can see a #avacadotree springing to life. A lot of avocado tree growers start them off with toothpicks suspended over water. Hopefully this proves that you only need to put them half way in dirt. This more so simulates the natural fall off the tree onto the ground effect.
