Of the two, spiritual fits me better. I follow my own moral compass and I indulge in practices that I feel fit in that. For a period in my life Buddhism was important to me, now I'm a bit less immersed in Buddhist practices, but it is still a religion that I find some comfort and valuable lessons in.
7. do you care about your ethnicity?
Hm... I'm proud of my Japanese and Korean heritage, but I wouldn't define myself by my ethnicity, per say.
8. what musical artists have you most felt connected to over your lifetime? ... This list is gonna be long and incomplete
My bandmates/certain labelmates, there's a special sort of bond that comes with creating together and performing together.
Not really, no, I just do what I feel is right.
11. describe your ideal day.
I'd wake up to the sensation of him nuzzling into my hair and breathing in my scent, which of course means I'd start the day smiling. We'd do our usual morning stuff, drawn out husky chatter that snowballs into some random topic. It'd eventually turn into lazy sex because he's got the day off--although it wouldn't be lazy for long because we're both too aggressive in bed. We'd wind up bruised and sated and snuggled up after a while, smiling and teasing and panting softly as we absently caress one another--because we can never seem to touch quite enough. Lounging would be cut a bit short by the sound of little cubs fussing and we'd both groan good-naturedly as we forced ourselves out of bed to go tend to whatever need they had. Eventually we'd find ourselves curled up in the family room with little ones crawling all over us and baby babbles filling the air as our little family relaxes, the scent of whatever we'd(likely me although my man does know how to pull it out in the kitchen and spoil me on occasion) cooked for lunch filling the air. Eventually, after they finally tuckered out enough, we'd put the youngest in their cribs to sleep, then read the oldest kids a few stories and tuck them in bed before retiring to ours. Maybe we'd watch a movie or TV or just chat about whatever's on our minds... Maybe we'd jump in the shower together and go at it again. Either way, my night would end the same way it always does, with my body pressed up against his. We'd have our long legs tangled comfortably, his strong arms would be holding me close, my left would be dangling over his waist to trace his side sleepily, and my cheek would be pillowed on his chest, his warmth radiating up against me and his heart thumping a steady, comforting rhythm against my ear.
12. dog person or cat person?
All of the animals. Gimme gimme. Especially the sloths. But, don't get mad at me if my mangy mutt eats 'em.
Both have their upsides and downsides. Outdoors.
15. five most influential books over your lifetime.
Life After Death: The Burden of Proof
... There are a few more I could put, but honestly I feel as if every book I've read has had a small influence on me.
16. if you’d grown up in a different environment, do you think you’d have turned out the same?
Nature vs Nurture, fun topic. How would I know? I imagine I would, but I'd like to think I'd still be me no matter what.
