Day 1 hiking the #TransCatalinaTrail! Living so close to @visitcatalinaisland I’m thrilled to finally be hiking this epic trail across #CatalinaIsland, right in my own Southern California backyard. Our adventure began by hopping on the early morning @catalinaexpress from Long Beach to #AvalonCatalina. There we met up with @catalinabackcountry who took us on a grocery run and then dropped us off at the starting point. @kingaphilipps and I then hiked over 10 miles from Avalon to Black Jack Campground. We arrived to a fully setup campsite by #CatalinaBackcountry. This family owned small business’ “Basic Camper” package sets up, takes down and transports all gear from campsite to campsite along the #TCT making hiking a lot easier and stress free.
