Sadly, no early updates this week—it’ll be on Sunday as usual—because my tests end on Friday so I’ll be writing chapter 4 after that AND will work on the next update of God of Desire. But I will try my best to do an early update next week!

The next work in the series will be a lot more smutty (😏) and the time travel will be five years in the future instead. That’s all I’m saying for now because I don’t want to spoil too much of the plot xD

LISTEN. amaya/ava is SUCH a valid ship, like all the ladies are together ofc but i really love that little pairing. i think they’d be so good together! the issue is that as sapphics they’re both too functional and organized and like it’s just them going to an art museum and then having tea while zari and sara light the waverider on fucking fire. what a beautiful world we live in

okay highkey avamaya is my exquisite and valuable rare pare for those with only the most refined tastes it is... comment on dit... very good

the real reason it won’t happen in canon is bc ava is a functional lesbian and amaya is a functional bi, and two functional sapphics together are Too Powerful. It has to be disaster/disaster or disaster/functional, the universe is keeping avamaya apart for fear of what glory they could accomplish as a unit

like they’re just so cute. they’re so unbelievably cute. they’re little affectionate lovebugs who would, no shade, PROBABLY enjoy assembling model trains together. like they’re come up with a rational solution and solve the problem quickly kind of ladies. they’re play chess together and while listening to piano covers of popular songs kind of ladies. they’re this game of catan is taking 5 hours ITS NOT THAT DEEP PLEASE kind of gals. 

amaya dazzles ava with her everything and tells ava stories about WW2 and fighting nazis and ava tries to make quiche for amaya and is moderately successful. they work so well bc they’re not opposites- they’re very alike, in very good ways! they would empower each other. support one another. not to say that their respective LIs aren’t also good for them but together they’d put rome to shame

ok but Amaya making a point of hanging out with Ava to try to help her relax about how everyone seems like they're constantly about to die. it's fine, you'll get used to it, does Ava like whisky it might help.

okay first of all amaya is like so fond + protective of ava bc she was exactly where ava is now last year + also, they’re autistic bffs and ALSO, i think ava is secretly a little more sensitive to criticism than amaya is, so amaya is like standing on a chair so that she’s taller than ava squeezing ava’s face against her chest with her strong strong arms like dont worry no one will hurt you i’m here and we’re gonna have a great time and ava with her face smushed against amaya’s chest looking at sara and mouthing “am i good?” and sara like haha sure

zari getting insanely jealous of the attention amaya pays to ava and nate sidling up to her like HM SHALL WE TRUCE and zari is like FINE but only because ava is WAY MORE of a ROMANTIC THREAT than you and nate is like hurtful... but fair

ava and amaya having Grown Up Drinks and Discussions while zari and nate seethe off to the side and also ava at some point like wait... how old is amayamick, opening his paper: that’s your problem now lady
