The Avarice had been cruising along at sublight for the better part of the day, something about having run out of Hypermatter, thanks to her destination of Hosnian Prime being destroyed. Normally that might not have been a problem, turning around and going back to where you came, but in this case, Hosnian had been the corporation’s base of operations for the better part of a couple years, and she’d been left with nowhere else to go.
As a not so soft beeping starting bouncing through the cockpit of the YT-1300f, it’s pilot let out a sigh. Now the fuel cells were running dry. Mira had activated the ship’s emergency beacon that morning, but so far there hadn’t been any response. Unfortunately, plan C for surviving, meant turning off all the ship’s equipment, save said beacon, and the medical pod.
Having shut down most of the ship’s systems, she made her way to the small crew area to check on her supplies. A couple days of water, that was good... And food, only another meal’s worth. Stingy Twi’lek. She made sure that the ships had enough of everything to make their trips, but not a whole lot more than that.
Ok, time for the fun part of plan C... Luckily, her, and her ship, had the somewhat unofficial duty as the company’s doctor and mobile medical facility. Which meant she had plenty of IV’s, the only problem would be keeping her heart rate and metabolism down...
Which is what the somniject would help with. Mira guessed that she could survive another week, maybe a week and a half, drifting, before starving to death. Mumbling a few curses, she stuck the IV needle in her arm, and then the accompanying needle for the poison. She made sure to double check the dosages, and then shut herself in the medical pod. It didn’t take long for the somniject to do it’s work, now only time would tell if she’d ever wake up.
