Reseña: Avatar Kinect

Avatar Kinect fue lanzado por fin el día de hoy, así que decidí no esperar mas y utilizar esta nueva tecnología para reseñaría. El resultado: me divertí mucho, probablemente suba los bloopers después. Desde el pasado E3, supimos que Microsoft esta apostando muchisimo con su nuevo periférico llamado Kinect. Dentro de los juegos que mostraron soporte para kinect, hubo franquicias grandes como Ghost Recon y Mass Effect que lograban sacarnos un "necesito un Kinect" solo para disfrutarlos al máximo. Hace apenas un mes, vimos uno de los juegos mas prometedores salirse con la suya y hacer que varias personas cambiaran su forma de ver el sensor Kinect, gracias a un sistema de juego solido y divertido, estoy hablando de Child of Edén. Pero sobre todo, algo que a todos nos llamo la atención fue la adición de Kinect Fun Labs, en donde se estarían publicando aplicaciones o minijuegos para Kinect de la mano de Microsoft y desarrolladores externos, incluso independientes. En ese apartado fue cuando se anunció que Avatar Kinect, que habia sido anunciado en Enero de este mismo año y que Lucio como una nueva forma de chatear dentro de una sala virtual con tus amigos, seria llevado a casa por medio de Kinect Fun Labs. En lo personal me quede con las ganas de saber que es lo que se podría hacer y que sentimiento provocaría el estar chateando con alguien. En ese momento paso por mi mente el video blog utilizando Avatar Kinect, claro que, yo lo pensé con una tarjeta capturadora de video, agradezco que Microsoft nos facilitara el trabajo. Ya que fue lanzado el servicio, le dedique una gran parte de mi tarde a encontrar como utilizar los efectos, cambiar los fondos y utilizar los distintos tipos de chat que aparecen ahí, al final de todo, decidí que mi impresión debía hacerse de manera que ustedes puedan ver la aplicación en acción. Por cierto, aqui esta el anuncio del concurso de comediantes para Avatar Kinect.

In its pursoot to create a virtual world, Microsoft has just launched a new product on its XBox 360 console. It's called Avatar Kinect. This new invisible technology allows users to control their personalized avatar without the use of a controller. Your avatar can now hang out in a choice of a multiple of virtual spots and emulate exactly what you do and what you say. They have also introduced a social media aspect to it.

This doesn't look overwhelmingly fun to be honest. It will probably be a hit but I feel like it's the kind of technology that is cool for a month or so but than loses its novelty appeal. I may be wrong. What do you think?

lol im not even an art major but i like to learn these things... in July I will be sharpening my video editing skills with Avatar Kinect

//to mention... I dont deal with auto configuration setting whatevers... I manually edit things because it is naturally better than letting the computer decide what it likes... im telling you thats how skynet and cylons happen man... we let the computers have too much control over us!

and here is where i do some thinking

Depending on when Avatar Kinect launches, immediately I must get some experience with it so I will make a mock demo of what I would like the show to be like (any of the shows really but maybe YouAsked will be first because it is a quick shoot to make)
