I hope Quaritch will connect to one of Eywa's trees before he dies and gets his memories uploaded. I know, I know but hear me out.
You know how Spider in The High Ground comics has this one picture of his mother he takes everywhere with him? His foster parents aren't great, his father was a monster so this is his most prized possession. The only thing he has of Paz. He always takes it with him.
I think in other cases Spider's and Kiri's interaction hint at their budding romance but that scene when Kiri watches Grace's logs and Spiders stares longingly from the background? He watches how happy Kiri is in this moment and then looks back at the recording. That one I always felt was about him wishing he had at least a little bit of that of his mom.
So I can't stop thinking how hard it must've been to not fall for Quaritch's offer to learn more about Paz. This is something Spider really wished for for so long. Quaritch is the only one who could give him this information. And it is so tempting.
And it's not just stories. Now that Spider has a kuru they can share memories. Spider could actually see her. See how much she loved him.. But he choses Jake instead (and this is what makes Jake's betrayal later hurt even more). This, in the end, gets Spider what he wants most - acceptance among Na'vi, life with his friends, freedom - but I wish he could still get to see those memories of his mom. And he doesn't even need Quaritch in person for that. It can be just recording of Quaritch.
Kiri had all the recordings of Grace and could visit her in Spirit world and has a loving family and she still longs for more. Spider had none of those things so even if it's just Quaritch's memories it's still so much more than that one photo. Quaritch said he loved Paz. This was more than just a fling. See could actually see what she was like.
So I hope Quaritch gets recorded in Oma. Not for his sake, there will be no one waiting there for him anyway (I'm pretty sure anyone can can access Oma as all energy is supposed to come back to Eywa - good or evil - but Na'vi are welcomed by their ancestors and Kiri was Spider's guide to the people and Quaritch has neither). It's just so Spider could visit and see those memories.
It doesn't even matter if Quaritch dies or not as you can apparently access living people's memories too.
