Idk if anyone’s ever said this before but I think a lot about how Kiri’s name is usually pronounced “kitty”, and it reminds me of that scene in the first movie where Grace calls the other avatars “kitties” as they’re getting ready to go to sleep and return to their human bodies for dinner. (Now granted, the subtitles say “kiddies”, but I refuse to believe that, kitties just makes more sense to me, they’re cat people come on.) And I won’t go without also mentioning that Grace’s name translated in Na’vi is Kìreysì, so that’s definitely the main source of inspiration, but I think it would be funny and cute if Jake just decided to also name her the na’vi version of Kitty.

really invested in the idea of like... an avatar who learned bending from themself. a very very spiritual avatar who learned to connect to their past lives way before they mastered their original element and has deep connections with these past lives and essentially relived their experiences and learned bending thru a like... spiritual memory
