The Dreams of WoM

There are several Dreams in my AU I call World of Minecraftia, a living dimension generated from code from the game Minecraft but exists 'beneath' the game and the real world. Think Log Horizon but the avatars you play are independent people from the people playing them.

Black Market Dream - The Dream that existed before the account was bought by Player!Clay; never Awakened, so never sentient/aware.

OG Dream - The Dream that was Awakened when Minecraftia took notice of Player!Clay's trapping and parkour skills in PVP and jump maps. Because he was Awakened during his e-boy skin he looked human and retained that human look even when his skin in the game was changed to the brand green. Status - Deceased, suffered Core Death when Herobrine consumed his soul to take over his body.

Dream - Before OG Dream was consumed, he created a backup of himself that was then reinstalled into his body after George defeated Herobrine. This is the current Dream who now is investigating the corruption of the world that is causing DreamSMP lore to become active in his friends, racing to solve the issue before his own lore fully installs. Status - Active.

DreamXD/Exdee - The Alt Account. DreamXD spent his time posing as Dream in Sky Capital to prevent the authorities from noticing Dream moves constantly to avoid being pinned in one place. He also would run as far from spawn as he could to find new training fields for Dream, only stopping his runs when killed as he doesn't bother to try surviving. Suffered repeated Core Deaths for the process. His most recent Core Death came after he and Dream reconciled their differences and decided to become twin brothers; upon returning to life with limited memories of his previous self, he was given the nickname Exdee and became the Overseer of the DSMP, using Creative Mode to protect himself from the dangers of the corrupting world. Status - Active.

C!Dream(Copy!Dream)/Nightmare/Oneiros: Before OG Dream was consumed, he was captured by a faction of Avatars known as The Disillusioned and tortured until a copy of his data was forcibly taken. This copy was then taken to the Nether and installed into an NPC body before an incident caused him to activate. Believing himself to be the real Dream, C!Dream was put through horrendous experiments by the Disillusioned before he was able to escape them and end up in the clutches of warring Piglin factions. Whenever he is able to break free from them, he hunts after Dream in attempts to kill and replace him, often going by the name of Nightmare. The Syndicate rescued him, first by accident and then later intentionally when he became a member of their group, and are currently rehabilitating him by helping him find a new identity. Technoblade gave him the name Oneiros. Status - Active.

Been working on my alternate vtuber model for practice so i can build up the skill to do a full update of my main model. The hair terrifies me the most, I changed the texture with one I made and that took ages to do with painting and checking and import/export constantly cuz i was working in CSP and vroid studio. Can't imagine how long it'll take to mess with the actual hair groups and stuff.

Then I need to learn to customize clothes and that's gonna be a bear and a half. lmao

"So, that's what we're gonna do?" Sapnap asked incredulously, arms folded over his chest as he looked around at everyone in the room before setting his gaze back on Dream. "I thought the plan was to fix Minecraftia's Story File with Nightmare's help," he went on and sighed, running a hand through his hair nervously, "What you're saying.. Dream, you have any idea how crazy it sounds?"

"He's got a point," George agreed with a nod, lounging in his chair with his feet up on the desk. Maps, books, and documents were haphazardly strewn over the surface. "Just knowing that Nightmare has a God Strain is terrifying enough, you want him to.. what? Use it to restart Minecraftia's Story File connections?" He threw up a hand in exasperation, "How is he supposed to do that?"

"By using Minecraftia's lore against it," Punz chipped in, relaxed in his own chair as he glanced aside at Dream, the other blonde having shoved his mask up to the top of his head and now rubbing his temples gingerly. "I know it took some time to get me caught up on everything you guys have been doing, but once you mentioned the End Poem, it was easy to figure out the rest."

Grim looks were cast about by the four of them before they all looked down at the same map on the table, one that charted the course within the Ruins of Sky Capital to the bunker where Sapphira had hidden her Nether Portal to the Nether Facility.

"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream," Dream sang softly, settling back with a sigh.

"Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily," Sapnap picked up on the melody.

"Life is but a dream," George finished and glared harder at the map, a lip curling in contempt.

"Hate to say it, but it's our best shot to fix the world," Punz sighed and shrugged, "Just sayin'."

Not just fix the world; restart it, rewrite it, recode the laws of the dimension itself, so that his friends and family would be protected from the current harsh consequences of Core Death. Dream huffed to himself, eyes narrowing at the mess of information on the desk. No more being helpless to losing anyone else he cared about like that, to holding Core Files in his hands as they crumbled to nothing and cruel voices taunted him from the aether. They found the loophole hard-coded into Minecraftia itself and he was going to exploit the hell out of it.

A Minecraft Manhunt the likes of which no one had ever imagined.

As a kind of example of what I mean by my MCYT fanfic writing being.. weird, here's this Dream Team snippet from my current fic, For The Lore.

"No, okay, wait," George suddenly changed tracks, hand swiping through the air in an aimless gesture and nearly smacking Sapnap in the face, "Dream, you said that Minecraftia's awareness is like one massive Core File for, like.. everything." He threw his arms out as if to demonstrate that. "And we know that cutting a soul-link from a Core File without warning or preparation makes the Avatar degrade and just go absolutely feral." George looked between the other two in the room expectantly, then rolled his eyes with an aggravated sigh at the blank stares in return. "What if The Convergence tore apart Minecraftia's soul-link to the guy that created the Herobrine Virus and that's why it's broken?"

"Uh, no?" Dream replied in an uncertain tone, "Minecraftia is representative of the upper server Minecraft, so its soul-link is to everyone who bought the game. That's hundreds of millions of sources of energy feeding into it."
