guys Steve and Bucky is such a funny fucking ship once you get over all the fighting and stuck in the ice bullshit. like, this is someone you've known for ages, you're both over 100 years old now living in modern society, and you're the only two people who can accurately tell people what it was like back then - or, like i imagine Bucky does, convincingly lie about it.
(or, more accurately, be an actual drama-queen about it. and Steve, in this little imaginary universe of mine, is ride-or-die for this man, and goes along with it. are we forgetting that Steve literally jumped on a grenade PRE serum? he's just as fucking nuts as the rest of them).
imagine. just, imagine it. Clint or someone asking what they'd eat in the great depression as a joke, and Bucky looking up and just going
Bucky: boiled chicken, if we had any. mainly potatoes and whatever veg our mom's could get.
Steve: yeah, I can't say I miss every single food being boiled. or the lack of spices
Bucky: I tasted food with seasoning for the first time and thought I'd been fucking poisoned.
Steve: I threw up every night for a month straight because my stomach wasn't used to food having an actual flavour to it.
Clint: ...do you know how sad that is?
Bucky: yes.
Steve: yes.
Like, they could fuck with people SO HARD and i need more people to start utilising their combined chaos in fics, STAT. i need it like i need to breathe, i fear.
The night is going so well. The drinks are strong and the company has been enjoyable. It always is when that company includes Sam and Bucky. It’s perfect...
“Hey! Can I buy a pretty thing like you a drink?” A husky voice cat-calls you. The man is obviously more than one too many drinks over his limit.
Better to ignore the belligerent individual then allow him any time to pester you further. You continue your trek back to your spot at the bar. Unfortunately, that plan goes to shit when a grubby hand latches onto your forearm, halting your movements.
“I was talking to you. Maybe you didn’t hear ‘cause of the mu..sic.” The man hiccups out a sound which is as irritating as it is disgusting. The smell of alcohol wafts off him, nearly choking you. You wonder just how much he’s had to drink and are even more puzzled at how he can still be standing upright. Obviously unbalanced but upright nonetheless.
“Thanks for the offer but I already have someone buying me a drink. Now let go of my arm.” You try to remain polite but firm in your response. Not wanting to cause a scene that will further inconvenience you.
“Oh come on! I know you don’t have anyone over there. I’ve been watching you all night.”
Scowling at him, you wrench your arm from his grasp. “Fucking creep,” you mumble lowly, not expecting him to hear.
“You don’t have to be a bitch about it. It’s one drink. And maybe one more after that.” His voice grows louder with each word. You stumble back, nearly falling, as the stranger attempts to capture you again. A strong and familiar arm stops you from spilling to the floor.
“Back off. She said she wasn’t interested.” The words come out as a growl, rumbling deep in Bucky’s chest as he shifts you in between himself and Sam.
“One of you her boyfriend or something? You coming to protect her?”
“No,” Sam breathes out through clenched teeth. “Actually, we’re here to protect you from her. If you want to leave this bar on your own two feet, I suggest you back off now.”
The man laughs, thinking the two are joking. Taking a step towards you, he hiccups out a few mostly unintelligible profanity-laced lines.
“We warned you.” Bucky and Sam step aside, setting you free. As expected, the man reaches for you again but this time he receives a knee to the groin followed by a lovely elbow to the nose. Crumpling to the floor, he moans out in pain and begins apologizing profusely.
“Next time we’ll stay in,” Bucky suggests.
“Yeah but you still have to buy the beer.”
“What?! Why?!”
“Because you should’ve let me hit him thirty seconds sooner. All that time wasted and now my drink is warm.”
Sam bellows out a laugh at his friend’s misfortune and calls for another round on Bucky’s tab.
Tagging: @dark-night-sky-99 @quickpiet @misplacedorphan I hope you don’t mind that I tagged you.😊 Thought you’d like this while you wait for part 2 of the other imagine. I really like the trio as well. I might write imagines more often for them. If you have suggestions on the scenarios for these 3 that you’d like to see, let me know.
I finished my last day of my 2nd year of college today 😱 I finally get a real ~break~ and am kind of thinking about doing a Drabble game this weekend (where people submit a prompt/quote and a character and I write a drabble for it!)
last time I did this I only got like 5, so I wanna know if anyone would be interested in it??
Summary: The team is stranded and the reader has an idea for a solution and although Bucky doesn’t like the idea, the reader can be stubborn and petty.
TW/CW: A single swear word, Bucky x reader
Word Count: 238
A/N: I was super busy this weekend and didn’t have time to write full-length stories so I hope you guys don’t mind a few drabbles. The prompt is bolded. Enjoy! Asks and Requests open!
Your POV
We all gather around to come up with a plan to fix our issue. Tony suit is out of power, Nat is badly injured, and several of us are exhausted. The quin jet was stolen so we’re basically stranded. As the others exchange ideas, I do my own thinking. Then a lightbulb goes off, “I have an idea!”
“Oh no,” Bucky mumbles as they all turn to me.
“I swear it’s a good one this time!” I say in defense.
“Go on then,” Steve prods.
“What if those of us who aren’t as badly injured, ie. me, Bucky, and Thor go back to the base and steal one of their trucks? Like the big ones with the shells on the back.” I explain.
The others look interested but Bucky disagrees, “First, you are not going back in there with us. I don’t want you getting injured too. Second, how exactly are we supposed to steal a big ass truck without getting caught and leading them back to you guys?”
I cross my arms over my chest, “I’m the only one small enough to slip inside without being noticed. You need me.”
“No. That’s final, (Y/n). Drop it. Thor and I will handle it ourselves.
Frustrated, I drop to sit on the ground and wrap my arms and legs around Bucky’s calf, “You can’t go anywhere without me now.”
Request: Hi! I was wondering if I could request sdv sebastian, 2 for the prompt list! Btw I absolutely ADORE all of your fics, I've been reading them nonstop ever since I found your blog.
#2: It’s nearly midnight, what are you doing?
A/N: new prompts come out tomorrow morning and I’m kinda scared that I won’t clean out my inbox by the time it uploads yikes! But also, to anon, I’m so happy you requested this and have been reading all of my fics! I’m excited for any future requests any of my readers have!

Time wasn’t necessary tonight.
You sat on the river bank, listening to the cicadas sing as you closed your eyes. It was the end of the week, and the dance of the moonlight jellies was tomorrow. You didn’t want to think about tomorrow, though. Tonight you were here, sitting on an old blanket, enjoying the last true night of summer.
The ground crunched behind you as footsteps grew louder. You ignored them - it was probably only Linus putting out his fire. He kept his distance even though you tried your best to be friendly around him.
The footsteps stopped, and you could hear the click of a lighter. Soon enough, the smell of smoke made its way to your nose.
The footsteps got closer. “(Y/N)? It’s almost midnight, what are you doing out here?” Despite the darkness, your eyes made out the dark figure of Sebastian, a cigarette stuck between his teeth as he approached you.
“Just wanted to enjoy the last nights of summer.” You said, turning your head up to the sky.
The sky in the valley was so much more beautiful than it had ever been in Zuzu. It was so clear and beautiful. You loved looking for constellations when summer was starting to die down. You leaned back, lying with your back on the ground while your knees stayed up.
Sebastian moved to lie down next to you, his cigarette discarded somewhere in the dirt nearby. “I don’t know what you see in this little town.” He said, looking up with you. “I don’t know how you managed to stay here for more than a month.”
“You really want out, don’t you?” You asked, turning your head slightly to look at his face. He didn’t answer, continuing to stare.
After a moment of silence, he spoke again. “What was Zuzu like?” You sighed quietly.
“Lonely.” You said. “Even with my parents, I didn’t think anyone really cared about me. And then when I came here, it seemed like everyone cared. Like we all had a purpose, and my purpose was to be here, to keep my grandfather’s memory alive.”
There was another pause before you spoke again. “You know, the stars we see are the same stars the ancients saw. They found shapes and patterns and told stories of those shapes.” You told him, untucking one of your hands from behind your head. You pointed up. “That’s Orion’s Belt.” His eyes followed your finger as you pointed.
“You like space?”
“Yeah.” You murmured, your eyes lost again.
You’d fallen in love with space as a teenager, opting to look to the sky to forget everything. When you looked up, your problems fell away, and you were reminded of how small you were in the ever-growing universe. When you needed it, the sky was there. It always was.
“When I was little, Demetrius used to take me and Maru outside on nights like this, and we’d look through the telescope. Maru liked the stars. I liked the darkness.” You laughed, imagining little Sebastian and Maru looking through the telescope in their backyard. Maru on her tiptoes to peek through, Sebastian waiting patiently for his turn. Demetrius pointing at things.
“You know, we’re made of the same stuff stars are made of.” You said after the conversation lulled again.
“I call bullshit.” Sebastian said, and you laughed again.
“It’s true.” You said. “Stars are made of iron, iron is in our blood. During the Big Bang, our ancestors were created from nothing into something, and part of what made up that something was stardust. So we are, quite literally, made of stardust.”
He chuckled softly. “You’re something else, you know that?”
“Mm, not really. I’m just too in love with this place.” You looked over at him, flashing him a small smile. “There are billions of places in this world, and somehow I ended up here, looking at the stars, rambling about stars to a boy who wishes to escape them.” Your smile turned into a lopsided grin.
“Tell me more.” He said, adjusting his body to face yours, and you mirrored his actions.
“Okay, think about all the colors you’ve ever seen.” You said. “Are you imagining them?”
“Yeah.”
“You’re not.” You giggled as he flashed a glare at you. “But anyways. Colors are part of the light spectrum. The light spectrum is huge. All the colors in the world? They’re just one percent of the light spectrum. Isn’t that beautiful? We can only see one percent of the light spectrum. Imagine what the other 99 percent looks like.”
“Demetrius told me that, but I don’t think he could ever say it the way you just did.” You smiled. “More.” You rolled your eyes but kept going. You were too excited now, too eager to explain more.
“When you lock eyes with someone who you’re in love with, your heartbeats synchronize.” You started going faster. “You literally become one. That’s why cartoon hearts look the way they do, because it’s two human heart shapes coming together.”
He watched your face as you spoke, loving the way your eyes had lit up when you were talking. You seemed so passionate about the beauty of the world, so confident you were meant to be here. He could only hope he was as passionate as you when it came to computers.
He hadn’t known that you loved science, but it made sense. You’d known where to start with the farm right off the bat, as if it was second nature.
You didn’t remember staying up late, but you rambled for a long time. You didn’t remember falling asleep, nor did you remember being tucked into bed.
When you blinked your eyes open, you were in Sebastian’s room.
And sure, you’d seen it before, but you were in his bed, and he was on the couch, snoring softly.
You couldn’t help but think that you wanted to do it again.
You had slowly been trying to introduce Loki to Midgardian culture, and so far you had been less than successful. He seemed bored or simply uninterested in everything you’d showed him- no matter what film, what play, what book, what song... All of it was ‘beneath him.’ You’d all but given up until you showed him Shakespeare.
It was Romeo and Juliet. You thought you’d start with a classic; it was one of your favourites and you figured since Loki practically talked like he was out of a Shakespearean play, he’d enjoy it at least slightly.
You were right. His attention was fixed on the screen until the credits began to roll up the screen.
“So, what did you think?” you ask titling your head to him.
“I... It was quite enjoyable,” he murmured, “Not quite-”
“-Don’t you dare finish that sentence, Loki,” you threaten, climbing on his lap and playfully shoving his chest back.
His hands fall to your waist and he pulls you closer. He places his lips near your ear and whispers, while keeping a firm grip on your waist. You shiver slightly at the contact.
“Now, now, darling these violent delights have violent ends...”
