Though I prefer the version of 'Dying in Brooklyn' Tim Ray did with The Druts (which appears on the CD reissue of the Vancouver Complication) this is an important document of early Vancouver punk/new wave and was the first release on Quintessence which later went on to release singles and EPs from D.O.A, Pointed Sticks, and Subhumans (the Vancouver one, naturally), among others. Not to mention Tim Ray was, in his own right, an important figure in the late 70s/early 80s Vancouver scene and if you wanted to read up on him you can do so here.
The rip itself has its ups a downs but it's nothing too unbearable. It's also not surprising that a 33 year old punk record has a fair amount of inner groove distortion.
