Average is Boring
Average is boring. Average isn’t even worth doing. But people still have to try. And everyone - most people in fact - are average most of the time. That’s just the statistical reality. The hard part is going above average.
What makes amazing? What makes “above average?”
Is it luck? Is that person truly a “genius”? Or is it a combination of things all coming together all at the right time?
There is 1 truth. When you do above average - in any way - people let you know. You don’t have to ask. You don’t have to do “market research”. People will let you know whether they like it or not.
It’s really easy to know if you’ve done above average.
And it’s really easy to not know if you’ve done average.
Because average still gets by. But it doesn’t make mouths drop, which for some people is good enough. Good Enough = Average.
