Do you think Lotor is dead? I mean, I hope not, but how could he survive...?

okay - aside from the fact that killing him off so shortly after bringing honerva back would make very little sense from a writing perspective - his character this season was handled very badly, in the sense that he was given a backstory that contrasts strongly with everything we’ve seen of him in s3 - s5. 

lotor despised zarkon’s power-hungry attitude and never showed interest in ruling his own empire. don’t even get me started on the elitist behaviour. pre-s6 lotor is very down to earth and doesn’t think of others as inferior, let alone underestimate them - and “a new altean empire” after all that talk of “allowing those worthy to rise and join our ranks”? after “being proud of both sides of his heritage” you’re gonna expect us to believe that he’s been delusional like zarkon all along? 

quintessence amplifies bad traits, so the only believable ‘real’ thing from his breakdown is his god complex. because that was there in previous seasons, although lightly and not always obvious. everything else doesn’t add up with what we know of lotor’s character - and while his sudden 180 turn may have been for shock value - spending this much time on humanising a character just to discard them in the end would be an exceptionally stupid decision, even for this writing team. but fine, moving on into theory territory:

lotor was exposed to quintessence before he was even born. he refers to himself as “child from the void”. his dna is quintessence-enhanced and he’s been called honerva and zarkon’s “daywalker son”. you can’t kill the dude by leaving him in a place full of quintessence; it has the opposite effect on him. 

he has a ship that can enter & exit the quintessence realm whenever he pleases - if voltron made it out of there, you bet we haven’t seen the last of sincline, either. 

zarkon and honerva “died” without being dead. even if the rift has the same effect on lotor that it had on them, he wouldn’t be gone for good, just more deranged than we could ever imagine. 

i know lots of people were rooting for a lotor redemption arc, but the thing is, there wasn’t really anything to redeem before this season. he wasn’t being unnecessarily aggressive and never used violence when it could be avoided - another reason his behaviour in s6 episode 6 & 7 made little sense to me - but now that we know of the altean colony?

now lotor is character material that can be redeemed. he’s never going to be a “good guy” - we’re way past that - but unless he really does descend into madness like i mentioned before, he’s going to come back and try to set things right. sometimes people have to get worse before they get better.

What are in your opinion the most interesting, inspiring and the best writers, poets and books in whole history of literature?

It’s hard to say, because I love books probably too much, and it’s hard to choose my favourites. First coming to my head is Pratchett’s Discworld - especially Death and Witches series. Zamyatin’s “We” and Orwell’s “1984 are must read definetely. Then, Stephen King, his favourite book is probably Rose Madder. From classic, I prefer Dostoyevsky the most. From modern authors - Donna Tarth, sadly she has only 3 books. I also like Ben Elton a lot, his books could be both extremely funny and heart-breaking. I’m pretty sure a I forgot a lot of authors who worth mentioning.

That Is Your JOB As A WRITER. these characters aren’t writing themselves. if you’re gonna go “it COULD HAVE been better if [character] hadn’t done this and that….” then… sorry but that’s. that’s literally your job. you’re the one shaping them. like i get what she's trying to say but that’s a lousy way of expanding your own story imo
