Tossing and turning had always been somewhat of a way of life for Fletcher but it was worse now than ever. He was still happier at Bridgeport than he had ever really been at his other school, but the thoughts and feelings that always seemed to swirl had been worse than they had been in a long time for the past few nights. He had accumulated only a few hours sleep since the weekend, and this night wasn’t looking any better than the last. A thought crossed his mind and before he could question himself he got out of bed and left his room, clad only in his pajamas he made his way down the hall to Avery’s door. Pressing the button on the door, he waited for the other man to answer, hoping he wasn’t already asleep and would see the lights in his room blinking.
