im diverging from dol and just taking avery with me to turn into my oc bc of some recent things, (mostly the update rn, but whatever i dont think ill be interested in it unless avery has any more content, but do know im still heavily basing my avery on dolvery, but i wont be using the tag anymore!) and tbh.... i do think that my avery is so far from canon now at this point, that i dont really find myself interested in dol canon avery anymore he turned into his own person

How did Esther and Avery meet?

I'm going to assume it's for the new narrative!! But the way they meet in this one is a bit cliche www sorry I'm not that creative.

Their first impressions of each other were of the comic I posted, where Avery accidentally bumps into her, she doesn't know that he's the guy the runs(owns the company(??( the whole scholarship program that's she's applying for to get into this prestigious international school, and she was already lucky enough to earn a spot to present a proposal (idk smth smart, I'm stupid so I'm not elaborating any further for that one) good enough to impress the board to get her accepted in the program.

After avery bumps into her they get into a small argument because Esther's a brat who wanted him to apologize, smth smth can't u watch where you're going or do your sunglasses need prescription, (like this I got lazy. Mb) and it only escalates, until Esther realizes she's running late so she steps on his foot one last time and then goes into the building running ( a bit. Immature for her honestly she'd berate herself the whole time afterwards, but she can't help herself- it did help with her nerves tho. Smth- old rich men are just a bunch of cunts.)

But either way their first impressions were terrible, and when it was Esther's turn to present her project proposal thing, avery spent a whole hour nitpicking and embarrassing her after she presents in front of the panel.

Esther is, expectedly horrified, because of course the guy she cursed at this morning was going to be the guy in charge of the whole thing, she thinks she ruined her chances, tight lipped the whole time probably on the verge of tears while her hopes of studying in a better school got smashed to bits bc she just couldn't keep her mouth shut.

But, she does get the scholarship tho, Avery is reluctantly impressed, and the rest of the panel felt the same way, he just wanted to be a prick lol she doesn't receive word of it until after a week tho, so she spent it moping around and depressed, already looking up other schools she could possibly try to get into.
