Cairis couldn't even form words for a few doboshes.

Feeling like her head was going to pop off with the strength of her emotions, she forced herself to calm down.

Taking several deep breaths and closing her eyes, she focused on the inflow and out-flow of air into her lungs until her system settled.

Cracking open an eye, she pointed at the screen.

"You had your head up a plant's rootball again, didn't you?" she accused.

"That's it!  I'm coming up!  You need supervision, you - you - you... plant person!"

“So, I might have… set the microwave on fire. A little.” Avery definitely can't cook for the life of them.

Cairis raised a pale brow as she looked at the being on her screen.

"When you say 'a little', what do you mean?" she queried.

A moment later, she saw what Avery meant when he angled the cam on his device to show her.

A horrified squawk emerged from her at the sight of the formerly white appliance.  It was scorched black in that way that only electrical fires could proudce.  Parts of it were melted slag; the rest of it was cracked and jagged.

It could have served as a commentary piece of modern "art" about the entwined fate of souls and machinery.

Either way: it was garbage.

"Avery!" she yelled.  "What did you do?  Are you alright?"
