I think it's super interesting that, as you've alluded, so many kids start smoking because their parents smoke. I grew up with 4 smoking parents (divorced) and it's the exact reason I'm so committed to not smoking. i think part of the problem has to do withvape culture nowadays.

funny enough this whole thought process has nothing to do with my actual project... i have to design an Ad for a PSA and make a thumbnail of what my final decisions would look like lmao

and thats what i see most often too!! like most kids who grow up with chainsmoking parents want nothing to do with it, and rightfully so! but people still do it!

its interesting too bc like. im a waitress. 90% of people who work in restaurants smoke. i was so!! thrown by that!! when i started working because jesus it was 2016 who smokes anymore!! but they all smoke because they see it as stress relief but it’s been disproven that chemicals in cigs make you calm. also that it makes u thin but i digress

honestly i think vape culture.... is just dumb lmao. there’s still chemicals in that. its not just water vapour. it seems so disconnected from smoking though and im not sure why?? but heck if someone wants to start using vapes to get themselves off cigs im 100% for it
