I’m having so much difficulty deciding which WIP to work on for Nanowimo. My options:

Werewolf Aide aka my baby aka my pride and joy aka the bane of my existence. A tale of a recent highschool graduate learning about the existence of werewolves and starting the journey of becoming their aide.

She’s All That: a highschool love story between Vietnamese head cheerleader who’s in love with a D&D playing nerdy girl and is determiend to learn all she can about her.

Pseudo or No Go: a fantasy story about a teenager going to live with her brother for the Summer only to have run-ins with the fae.

A story about urban explorers who find a haunted abandoned building and need a witch’s help to figure out it’s mystery and save the town.

Haven Motel (working title): a spin-off of Werewolf Aide centered around the strange occupants of Haven’s local motel.

Help me decide which Twine project to work on first based on short and vague descriptions?

1. Person missing an old friend while reality collapses around them.

2. The emergency color code in institutions.

3. Based on a YouTuber's chaotic City Skylines video.

Despite what Jax, Lizzy, and ashen-crest said would be a bad idea, I’m gonna go and try for 50k for each WIP for Nanowrimo. Totaling at 150k words for the whole month.

That’s 5,001 words per day which heck, if @abalonetea can write thousands of words in one day, they’re gonna be my inspiration for this torturous goal I’ve made for myself.

Update Pt 2

SO! Happy almost New Year’s Eve! I decided to go ahead and decide my New Years goals when it comes to this blog, my life, and most importantly, writing in general.

2022 Goals:

1. Finish the first draft of Werewolf Aide and pay for someone to beta read it. I want to have a second draft done by the end of next year and I need feedback to make that happen. But first I need to actually finish it and I’m only half way thru. I need to kick my ass in gear and get it done.

2. Make headway on other WIPs, namely She’s All That and Pseudo or No Go. They’re ON my priority list, but of course not as high as WA. But I want to make content that cast a wide net for readers and I hope writing other genres will help with that.

3. Start Fiverr. The main thing I need for this in confidence, something I severely lack. I hope to gain more of it as the months go on and gain the skills needed to attract clients on there.

4. Be more active on writetwt. If I wanna be a professional author, that’s an area I need to be more prevalent in. I have no idea how, but I’m going to for sure try my best.

5. And most important of all, is interact more on this blog and with writeblr as a whole. I want to make friends and talk to other writers and my severe social anxiety is hindering that highly. I want to work on that and actually be a PART of the community on here, maybe help it grow in a way I’ve seen Jax talk about (someone you should all follow if you’re somehow following me but not him).

Okay definitely in over my head with my nano goal. I’m gonna change it to 50k across all three and trade off which WIP I work on each day, just rotating through the three throughout November.

Feel slightly like a failure already, but it’s what’s best for my sanity.

I currently have 6 WIPs in my intro, contemplating adding a 7th and 8th.

And I plan on making an outline for all of them to help decide what to do for Nanowrimo this year.

"I don't know if I'll remember this, I need to write it down." Proceeds to forget to write it down and also forgets what it was.

I'm on chapter 26 out of 33 for my first draft of The Trees Who Call Our Names and multiple times I've thought of something that needed to fixed/amended during editing. And instead of writing them down as I go, I keep THINKING that I need to write them down then forget to do that exact thing.

I remember some of them! Mostly mannerisms of characters that presented themselves as I've gotten closer to the ending and will help with developing dialogue. I've also realized a not necessarily BIG plot hole but an annoying one. Plus a possible second one.

First time ever I'm looking forward to the editing stage lol

LIZZY! LONG TIME NO READ!

For The Tress Who Call Our Names (such a long title, why did I do this), first to come to mind would be Austin. And that's because I made sure he has that Appalachian drawl that I love and miss.

The typical dropping g's and idioms my in laws don't understand such as the devil beatin' his wife. But also the nonsensical contractions like "wouldn't've" in place of 'would not have', "hafta" in place of "have to", and of course "y'all'd've" instead of 'you all would have'.

Gosh I love my accent. I had to give it to him.

He also says Spirits instead of God, gosh, or geez!
