Haha I know the feeling! So the original fic is down with @darthnickels’ tumblr (gone), but fortunately there’s a nice podfic here. The “panorama of paranoia” appears around -02:19. Fantastic little fic that does a lot of clever things simultaneously, I can’t recommend it enough

I saw a couple of your posts disparaging TV vet shows, and I thought you might like Vet Ranch? It's a small YouTube channel that shows the vet work a clinic does to help dogs and cats become healthy and adoptable. It's super cool, and as far as I can tell they don't dramatize their medical procedures or film at the expense of the animal.

Thanks but I’m not watching these sorts of shows. Even if they’re good quality they’re not good for my brain or mental health.

I need time to not be a vet to stay sane. You cannot pour all of your mental energy into vet all of the time, or you have nothing left to be you with.

I’m not able to spend my time checking multiple other vet media to give my opinion on it. I’m flattered that so many of you have asked for my opinion, but I’m staying away from them for my own mental health.

Honestly, I can’t even find generic cute animal videos relaxing anymore, because at best it does nothing for my brain.
