If you like Defeater, Touche Amore, La Dispute or Modern Life is War, do yourself a favour and check these guys out, their next Album (coming this year on No Sleep Records) will be a fantastic piece of Modern Hardcore.
Aviator are heading to Europe / UK next year, and we strongly recommend you attend a show, or miss out on life, literally.

Day 311, 662:08, 1283-1294
1283. Best Witches - Jail - Great emo. Reminds me more of the northeast bands of the revival heyday rather than what came out of Philly or the midwest. Algernon, Chalk Talk, the like. Into it.
1284. Converge - Jane Doe - Standard Converge. Not as into it as the later stuff.
1285. a bathtile green - january - Eh. Acoustic emo-ish whatever.
1286. Aviator - January 2013 - Stellar sounding live recordings. Some old songs revitalized, some new jams (at the time).
1287. Bag of Bones - japan, tomorrow morning - Nice post-y emo.
1288. Japanese Breakfast/Foxing - split - Great from both. Foxing’s song isn’t “Ocelot” but that’s ok.
1289. Olde Pine - The Jawns - Didn’t like this too much the first time around, for whatever reason this time was enjoyable. Will be back.
1290. Various - Jawesome Summer Sampler 2008 - Who the hell names these things? I have five tracks of apparently twelve, basic Warped-tour wash.
1291. Death Grips - Jenny Death - Crazy. I definitely don’t know enough about anything to really understand the finer points here but I’ll be back.
1292. Pile - jerk routine - Idea: Pile/Pinegrove twang jams tour.
1293. Summer - Jewelia - I was going to spend the last of my itunes money on a full album of memes but it turns out I only had a dollar left, so I settled for this. Serious meme.
1294. Busdriver - Jhelli Beam - Same thoughts as Death Grips. Man is he fast though. Coming back eventually.
Day 277, 600:59, 1175-1178
1175. Staind - The Illusion of Progress - Utter drek in every way.
1176. Chris Cappello - I’m Not Afraid of My Own Name - Self-proclaimed Bright Eyes ripoff. It’s certainly Oberst-y, nothing really special here but it’s important to keep in mind how young Chris was when this came out. Truly ahead of his years and he’s only grown since.
1177. Aviator - I’m Not the Lonely One - Their best at the time, hard-hitting PH in a style that they effectively pioneered to the mainstream. They’ve changed to stay ahead of the curve, but this release was where they found their footing sonically.
1178. Panda Bear - I’m Not-Comfy in Nautica - Spacey indie, sort of like Animal Collective.
Day 231, 528:28, 1006-1011
1006. State Faults - Head in the Clouds - Atmospheric screamo, excellent.
1007. Aviator - Head in the Clouds, Hands in the Dirt - Aviator is real cool in LP form, the songs have more breathing room and there’s room for variation in dynamics and structure.
1008. Death from Above 1979 - Heads Up! - Cool, but not their best.
1009. Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything - The best album Evanescence failed to write. European style pop metal, full of synths and strings.
1010. Chiodos - The Heartless Control Everything - Early demos, sort of cool.
1011. Isles and Glaciers - The Hearts of Lonely People - Awesome super-group. Even if you don’t like the members, this is packed with riffs and harmonies.
