This is what will happen in the live-action remake trust me Jared Bush is my long-lost brother.
OK SO I WAS GETTING INTO ENCANTO AGAIN
And idk if I’m overthinking this but I noticed Alma seems to have diff expectations for each of her grandchildren depending on which parent they came from HEAR ME OUT
So with how Alma treats Pepa I imagine she’s always telling her to “control herself” or remind her abt her clouds and etc
that makes me wonder that Alma doesnt favor Pepa as much as Julieta since Pepa’s gift seems so “destructive”
Julieta meanwhile seemingly has the most “useful” gift (at least objectively) because yk.. SHE HEALS PEOPLE WITH FOOD (imo thats an eternal youth fountain right there I’d say unless it has limits)
so I feel like Alma associates Julieta’s kids with that same expectation to contribute to the family
Luisa is literally the strongest and always helping around
Isabella is the oldest and the poster child of the next generation (community muse?)
hence why Mirabel not getting a gift feels so huge because Mirabel is not living up to her Mother’s reputation
I also noticed that with Pepa’s kids Alma doesnt seem to put as much pressure on them because they seemingly have the most “useless” gifts (not saying theyre actually useless tho)
Dolores just has super hearing
Camilo can shapeshift
And Antonio can speak to animals
While those skills can help around the community
I think thanks to them being Pepa’s kids it led to Alma subconsciously not paying that much attention to them since she doesnt associate Pepa with as much importance as Julieta
Julieta was definitley the favorite triplet lets be fr 💀
If theres an AU where Pepa and Bruno switched story roles- I’d say nothing would be super different
IS IT JUST ME WHO NOTICED THIS GUYS BECAUSW IM WONDERING IF IM LOOKING TOO MUCH INTO IT
I just think it would have been funny if Bruno’s gift had turned out to not be prophecy related at all he was just observant and had common sense and everyone internalized it.
Bruno: hey it’s really not healthy for a goldfish to live in a bowl that small it’s gonna die
Bruno: hey if you keep eating like that you’re gonna gain some weight
Bruno: it looks like you might be balding
The Town:
Meanwhile Bruno’s real gift is like dancing or something
Pre-production sketch of Luisa Madrigal and Sven for "Once Upon A Studio" by Michael Woodside.
"I just found this image of another pitch I sent in. This one was purely selfish since I was the Animation Supervisor on Sven in Frozen 2 and Luisa in Encanto and I really wanted to animate them together." --- Woodside
Can you do some headcanons of Camilo as a father/with pregnant reader?
Adult!Camilo caring for his pregnant woman
*-*-*
- He would be ecstatic ! Camilo adored you so much and the thought of creating the fruit of love made him love you even more than he thought possible.
- He would not care much about the baby's gender, tho I can see him as being the best girl dad ever.
- As much as he hoped you would escape it, he had to help you through the morning sickness. Holding your hair back, rubbing soothing circles on your skin as patiently waited by your side.
- Of course Camilo becomes protective of you, even tho he knows Casita won't let anything within the walls and the village was fairly, he couldn't help it.
- Especially when the danger came from yourself. Your sweet, determined self. Once you tried to carry a vaguely heavy bag upstairs, you swore you never saw your husband rush to you so quickly. Don't scare him like that, amore !
- When the cravings came in, he wasn't ready. He loved you, but how could live with himself now that he made a sugary arepa, filled with chocolate and pineapple. Its the price you pay for love I'm afraid.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ISABELA MADRIGAL! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! 💜💜
