A grey tabby cat sat looking at its reflection. It had once been a strong humanoid, a Harpy, about an hour ago. Now, she sat in an alleyway looking into a broken mirror. She sighed as best as a cat could and jumped up onto the windowsill she had been under, the feeling of rain tickling her new whiskers. The realization that a windowsill wouldn't provide much cover hit her, and she murred in annoyance. She jumped as the window behind her opened inwards, and a pair of hands picked her up gently, causing her to squirm slightly. "It's okay, i won't hurt you," came a voice oh too familiar to her. He placed her on the counter by the window, closing it as the rain poured down, and walked to the sink, pouring some water into a bowl for her and placing it next to her. She rolled her bright green eyes and slunk over to the window, watching the rain. "So what do we call you?" He asked, stroking the cat's head. She swatted his hand away with a paw and then pressed it onto the fogged up window, dragging her paw down, leaving a trail. After a few seconds of annoyed growls, she finally spelled out 'Avery'. She looked back to him with a miffed exhale. He frowned and looked at the name drawn on the window. "Avery? The Harpy?" he asked, slightly dead hearted that it was someone who knew him as an enemy. Even with this, he couldn't help but grin at the annoyed meow of answer. Lucifer, the fallen angel who had pulled her in from the rain, laughed slightly. "What happened to you?" Avery rolled her eyes and climbed off the windowsill, walking along the arm of the chair Lucifer sat in, jumping onto his shoulder with a peeved meow. "Being friendly now?" Lucifer laughed, Avery squishing his face with a paw and a murr. He shifted his arm, causing her to tumble onto his lap. "You're going to have to find a way to communicate," He pointed out, stroking her grey fur absentmindedly. Avery meowed in agreement, not noticing the low purring Lucifer's stroking brought up. Lucifer had though, and smirked slightly. "Enjoying yourself?" he asked, Avery shaking her head quickly, collecting her thoughts, and murred at him, jumping from his lap onto the windowsill and curling up, glaring at him from her ball of fur.
