it has been long since she started this major journey to learn. spend days on books & laptop. today was a library night. a place boost dedication to work on study. taken time off from dso for this had made her feel how having a very normal life is driving her insane. akin to rose withering for existing. a useless usage of air and space.

the loneliness this had manifested allow for bad habits to be explicit, pills mixed tincture at night, coffees in large amount at morning , body no longer distinguish awake or not. lethargic at all time. had her nap on spot. it was the constant presence of those close to her whether a message or meet that remind her she is still a human who needs daily necessity to live. nevertheless, none could help in her sleep biology. feels sudden warmth made her shudder awake. as if foreign object just crashed on her.

this normal wholesome act of care shouldn’t startle someone but to sherry who isn’t used to unplanned touch instead used to calculative schedule one. flit head up “ river ? “

Akira's signing had something of a skeptical edge to it, regarding River with a surprisingly soft gaze. She never really had been a people person, and despite her usual disinterest with the affairs of people, perhaps there was a want for connection deep down.

She tapped her chin in thought, taking a slow breath.

Logan has a severe phobia of going into the Vaults themselves for some reason he doesn't understand at all. Given they seem like a fairly terrifying thing in and of themselves, while he's been with River, he's heard some rumors. Harmless ghost stories, some people said and chortled in his face, but some were entirely too serious for his liking.

So when they ended up stumbling into a Vault after Logan almost had a panic attack, they needed to scavenge for supplies: River said these places could be their best bet. Even if the door no longer sat on its hinges, askew and rusted beyond all recognition. They entered the massive lift, the yellow paint chipping off the metal grates, Logan exhaled as they descended down, down, down and once they finally breached the inner vault door, they stood in the silence.

This eerie, thick silence.

Logan grasped the handle of his gun, snug in it's thigh holster, and found little comfort in it. He felt her hand on his shoulder and peered down at her. River's smile gave him a little more confidence, a little more ebb of those butterflies in his stomach calms at it. He takes a deep breath and nods, as ready as he'll ever be, to go into the bowels of hell.

It comes out of his mouth without a filter to hold it back, but given they aren't in direct proximity to anyone who might overhear his exhausted judgement, he feels he's safe. And with River, he's not too worried about it. Given he's seen more than one ghoul out here, more than he'd ever previously run in to before he met her and they seemingly teamed up automatically, well...he is shocked.

"I mean, as long as they aren't a danger to us and use their formidability against actual enemies, I guess I feel safer."

He furrows his brow at her for a second, watching her gusto as she speaks. He had seen that bravado before, and more often than not it resulted in people DYING. He remembers that. Sarah Lyons was the same way and he distinctly recalls how that ended.

Suffice it to say there's NOT a lot of joy in the expression he gives her when she says those words. A sigh escapes him, trekking around his desk for a second as he watches her for a second. He's still not entirely sure what prompted her to say it, but it bothers him to some degree.

Especially considering the fact that the number of people who have shown such prowess never lived long enough to make a true difference. When he finally determines what he's going to say, he sets his pen down, the stack of paperwork pushed off to the side before folding his hands together.

"I think perhaps you might want to consider readjusting your view point. Death is something that is still devastating whether or not you want to admit it. You are a LEADER, meaning that your death will have a ripple effect than simply your life coming to an end. Please keep that in mind."

"murder?" ramona sings, with lips curling up, exposing pearly white teeth. she doesn't know if river is joking but imagines she is not. the comment makes her laugh because river is right, & maybe ramona is finding too much amusement in it. ( just a little too much! ) "you know murder is always an option! so long as you get away with it & don't find yourself a part of someone's revenge plot," ramona nods; though, she figures, if someone wants revenge, she'll have to defend herself, maybe make a game out of it! like cat & mouse.

"now..." ramona picks her nails with the tip of her combat knife, double checking the nail work, as she recently painted them; she did not want any damage as she spent so much time filing & buffing them. "since the subject of murder is in the air, is this your way of saying we should go out there & murder a couple of assholes? i don't kill just anyone, mind you, just those that truly deserve it." & anyone she deems a threat.

      Liana  doesn't  know  if  she'll  ever  be  ready  to  talk  about  It.  For  years,  Project  Purity  had  been  a  distant  memory.  The  Enclave,  the  purifier,  the  legacy  her  parents  had  created;  she'd  left  all  of  it  behind  her  when  she'd  walked  away  from  the  Capital  Wasteland  over  ten  years  ago.  The  scars  are  faded,  both  physical  and  mental;  never  quite  fully  healed  but  they  don't  hurt  like  they  used  to.

And  then  the  Prydwyn  flew  overhead  and  it  all  came  rushing  back.

She glances down, eyeing her for a second as she puffs out some air. Admittedly it's a little embarrassing, they'd been out here on this mission for a couple weeks now, something that was rather uncommon for her now since she'd become a diplomat for the Minutemen, but given the severity of the situation in Far Harbor, River seemed to believe that she was the best person for the job.

There's a discomfort that comes as she keeps an alert watch out onto the horizon before turning her attention back to the other woman when she finally finishes tying her shoes.

She chuckles nervously. She's distressed about this whole scenario, this place had something evil about it. River had said that despite everything it was for the best that they do something otherwise they're risking letting the entire place crumble. Countless lives lost, Elizabeth wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she let that happen.

"...Probably a good idea to make sure that I don't have anything working against me for getting around this place. We don't really know what's out there and I'd hate to get caught unready to deal with things."
