Hiiii, i love your takes in the identity of Narcissus ordo, and i have the question i how do you think the existence of Sandrone might affect Marianne and Anne, or how knowing eachother might go?
I’m not entirely sure, as currently neither party is aware of the other. I hope they meet, as “Mary-Ann” is exploring with Ann, Mamere, and Seymour and Sandrone’s core is being brought back to FRIKEE for reassembly.
In terms of them meeting, I see one of two views taking precedence with “Mary-Ann:” either she recognizes Sandrone as a creation of Alain much like she made the Hydro mimics in Annapausis, or she fixates on the fact that Sandrone is a mimic of her, or one of her halves, rather. On Sandrone’s side she’s forced to see the person she was made in the image of (or what’s become of her), something her creator didn’t even know about.
Either way, you now have the remains of Mary-Ann, who still identifies as Mary-Ann (at least in part, as she recognizes she’s someone else), meeting a robot made in the image of Mary-Ann who does not identify as Mary-Ann and has been supported by the narrative to identity as her own individual.
I hope this happens and the question of identity is at least brought up. (I also hope that when Sandrone is reconstructed that her quest acts as a true finale to this story)
Edit: I'm not sure if this is something to keep in mind but in the quest they emphasize how robots such as Sandrone require the core to be within the body or else they would experience a "factory reset" [a death of identity?], and since Sandrone's body is destroyed leaving the core exposed for an unclear length of time, I feel there is valid reasoning to question what state Sandrone will be brought back in and who she will become if such a thing does occur.
(After the 6.7 drip market, with Sandrone still being referred to as such and still possessing her Harbinger title, I doubt they’ll follow through on that core removal to death of identity in this case, ignore the above edit)
