This has always been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, and it certainly isn’t any easier a second time round, but unfortunately this group has run its course and we will be closing down ( most likely for good this time ). All three of us admin are just so distant from the group these days and busy in our personal lives, that we haven’t been able to dedicate as much time to this group or the characters we play, as what once was possible, and due to this a drop in motivation and inspiration to keep Avenir running past its due date has made logging in very difficult for us. This group has been my life for the past four years. It’s been my home and my escape, just like I know it has been for other members over the years. I can still recall the day I first applied to this group, and all the nerves I felt back in the days of cringe RP, gleeful to be accepted into a very fun community, and I still remember the personal shift made when I took on the role of admin, and eventually head-admin, and how inspired and happy I was to dedicate so much time to this RP and all of the amazing members that have joined me ( and even the few that were around before I was ). Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be sitting here four years after the original group had opened, sitting at the helms. It’s amazing how far we’ve come, especially since some groups are lucky to last more than a month.
Over the course of those years, we have had our ups and downs. Our disagreements and hiccups and everything in between, and thanks to a strong bond and loyalty that had formed between members and admin alike, we managed to keep moving forward. Thank you so much to those of you longtime members, who have continued to stick by us even after the pause at the end of May. It was your own dedication and love that got us so far. And to the newer members, who saw potential and tagged along, thank you for giving us the means to attempt a round 2.
I would also like to thank my fellow admins. La and Orion are two of the best people I could have possibly had the opportunity to work alongside, and their ability to put up with my insanity and flipflopping is just --- well it’s commendable, because I know I can be quite a headache from time to time! And even the previous admin, who are still around or long gone, I really appreciated all of the support! Thank you for listening to my complaints and concerns and awful awful jokes. Thank you for helping me add to this group and for helping me grow as a person. You will always be a part of my heart, even if we don’t keep in contact.
Speaking of, I want to let it be known that if you would like to keep in contact with me ( Amanda ), please don’t hesitate to ask for my personal even though I rarely use it or my discord. I would be happy to dish them out to talk about life or rp plans ( honestly I don’t want to leave the RP community altogether, so hmu and tell me all about the places you go or the things you manage, or even if you wanna 1x1 or anything!! ) and to generally keep in touch however you should possibly fancy!!
