5: first headcanon that pops into my head

she was in love with prince Kagewaki – or at least fixated on him – bc he was the person who saved her and gave her a reason to live after the worst day of her life and it hit her really hard when she found out that it was Naraku the whole time and after Kagome saves them she breaks down crying because her coping method is gone and she can’t imagine why these people would want to stay with her after she betrayed them because she loved naraku even though I don’t think anyone figured it out except miroku (much later, probably when they were close enough to talk privately and she slipped up and said something by accident) 

6: favorite line from this character

“So, I failed...” it’s such a juxtaposition to her first real character building line (I know it’s not her first line, but imo it’s the first one that matters) where she crawls out of her grave and says “I will not die.” When she admits defeat, I think it shows a real journey as a person where she’s finally resigned to the grave and it means something really big to her

can we go one ask without Em plugging Reasons? no. Di has a similar moment in the second to last episode and I think that’s why I love it in Sango so much is because these two very similar warrior women fight and fight and fight and when the battle is over they think the only thing left to do after war is death and it takes someone else telling them “fuck that, no” to get them away from tying their own hanging noose so to speak. 

7: one way in which I relate to this character

FECK I’M A MIROKU. UMMMMMM. 

actually I think I have plenty of similarities to Sango, being the talented young person that doesn’t know what to do when the world explodes and nearly dies but manages to get up, keep going, and fix things wherever she can 

I think she and I have that in common. 

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

fuck. idk. she’s like... the least cringey of the main cast

i think though that the secondhand embarrassment of all of these characters is the stupid anime tropey shit that’s in there for laughs, but when I consider these characters or write them I just leave that shit at the door it’s not welcome in my playground

so i don’t have anything that comes to mind

Cinnamon roll? Idk that makes her sound fluffy and sweet and not a badass but she’s not a problematic fave at all so that’s what she is i guess
