Well I found with optifine if you go: Video settings>Details>Sky> off

then the sky blocks don't have any effect

However I'm now left with seeing the sun and moon and stars though solid blocks.

i know that feeling. D: in all honesty I just ended up waiting it out and wandered around in parks with lots of plants to make myself feel better

ugh yeah. i don't know what else to do other than wait and see if this feeling goes away. maybe i need to sit in the sunlight for an hour or so. i really wish i could walk around a nice park right now. but it's all cold and snowy and yucky outside. i'm hoping the snow melts a little more soon. i really want to take Baylee and go to the local fen on a warmer day.

the fen is all nice and open, and i honestly love the tall grass and hills.
