avoiding catastrophe;

Sihyeon had just been packing up her things to head home from Minx when she had gotten Vincent’s messages. And since her only plans previously had been to go home and soak in a bubble bath, it was easy to switch gears and head to his place instead. She did not know Vincent super well, no, but she knew enough: that he was hot and pleasant to talk to and available. What more could she ask for?
She certainly didn’t regret ditching her bath when he opened the door and gave her such a warm welcome. She hadn’t even set foot inside yet and he was already making her shiver. Good. She always appreciated feeling wanted. “A little bit obvious. You’re lucky I work late, or I might have already been asleep,” she replied with a small laugh, stepping out of her heels gracefully as he pulled her inside.
“So you summoned a princess to lift your spirits?” She teased, slipping her arms around his neck. For just a moment, she wondered how close the fairytale analogy was to real life. Had he really met a witch? It was hard to tell, given where they were. But she did not dwell on the thought for long. Instead, she smiled and leaned in to press a lingering kiss to his jaw. “Do you want to talk about it? Or just forget it?”
