Yaru Lorna
Arcane Scholar, The Emperor’s Envoy
Yaru Lorna was raised within the Emperor’s palace, a childhood marked by privilege but also isolation. Their father remained a cold and remote figure, succumbing to drink and foolish habits in his later years. Luckily, Yaru had their grandmother. She became their emotional anchor: sending birthday gifts, teaching compassion, and shaping their understanding of love.
Though palace life isolated Yaru from peers, it offered unmatched advantages: vast libraries, abundant tools, and resources that allowed them to immerse themself in scholarly pursuits. Their craft and studies became both a passion and an escape from monotony.
As a teenager, they discovered parkour, secretly slipping away to race across the rooftops with a friend they weren’t supposed to meet. This rebellious pastime honed their agility and daring. Skills that would later serve them in espionage as the Emperor’s envoy, an ironic twist given that these adventures began as acts of defiance.
Even in their disciplined role, Yaru’s intelligence, physical prowess, and quiet streak of mischief continue to shape how they navigate the political and personal intrigues of their world.
