Fun fact, there used to be a meme format called avoidant coyote but the accounts have been abandoned for several years. I love the potoo bird idea though

I love the coyote symbolism, too, where they’re mostly solitary but can be social (unlike wolves, which are seldom “lone” and live/hunt in highly social packs). That’s an awesome choice for an avpd meme. I’d wondered if anyone had done that sort of thing yet and I’m glad they did. We totally should revive it.

I pretty much only picked potoo birds for their fantastic faces, although potoos have unusual eyelids with a slit in them so that they can see motion even with their eyes closed, which is something I can relate to on a bone-deep level.

Do you know if there's an AvPD awareness month/week/etc?

I wasn’t able to find one after combing a bunch of search results. Even google has no idea what avpd is, apparently 😆

It would almost be funny except that the results for “avpd awareness” (and all the similar/related terms with and without quotes) merely generate a lot of ads.

I dunno about anyone else, but the very last thing I’d want is a teeshirt that invites people to talk to me, lol

It’s a great idea, though, having an AvPD awareness day. I wonder how these kinds of awareness days/weeks/etc get started?

Anyone have any leads or info I missed?
