Embroidered silk organza

Made in Paris, worn in Toronto Avril (April) is the early spring month when violets bloom. Every dress name in the A collection begins with the letter A.

The original design included a fichu (missing), or shoulder wrap, based on 1830s-40s fashion. Avril is listed in the charts for "Robes soir courtes" (short evening dresses) but described in L'Officiel de la couture et de la mode de Paris as a "robe de garden party."
