Mouse is also an Avvar God?
Avvars’ beliefs contain three Gods, which connect all the tribes: Father of the Mountain, Lady of the Skies and Hakkon the Wintersbreath. But outside of these three main Gods, they have also several others like for example Sigfrost:
“The Great Bear sleeps at the foot of the Mountain Father's throne, and is so vast in size that Korth once confused him with a small mountain. Sitting at Korth's foot, he is also the guardian of wisdom. Avvars may challenge him to acquire knowledge, but the bones of many on such a quest are strewn about his den.”
I bet that not only for me this sounds familiar... but the last part of this description is the most interesting for me, because it implies that Singfrost exist in the Fade as the spirit or demon.
“Several Circle magi claim to have met Sigfrost in the Fade.”
Does it also sounds for someone as if several circle mages mistook the Sloth Demon, which we meet during the Harrowing, for a Sigfrost? (The description of Sigfrost even aligns with our Harrowing quest in which we go to the Sloth Demon to acquire knowledge about the demon, which we will have to face to pass and he gives that to us only after we please him with answering correctly to his riddles - kinda like Sphynx, lol). If so then the next thing I am going to say will be even more interesting than this one, because Avvars seem to have a God, who sounds as someone who we all know:
“The trickster of the Avvar pantheon, Imhar is a slight man who must rely on his quick tongue instead of strength. Avvars enjoy tales of Imhar's jests and mockery, perhaps the most popular of which is that of Imhar and an evil seductress. She lured him into facing her unarmed, then faced him with an army of demons. Playing the coward, Imhar lead them on a merry chase through a mountain pass. When they thought they had cornered him, Imhar laughed out loud. The great noise shook the peaks, and the horde was crushed beneath the avalanche he caused.”
His name is Imhar, but for me he sounds as if he could pass as man using the name Mouse... who is extremelly interesting, because he seems to share characteristics not only with Imhar, but also with The Formless One - one of the spirits/demons, who abandoned The People. [link] Not to mention that Imhar also seems to be similar to the Dread Wolf and could pass as Fen’Harel and in his weakened state as Solas in the same time.
What all of this could mean then?
I don’t know. It may mean nothing, but it may also mean something. Like for example that the places, which Avvars build, like Kinloch Hold, Vigils Keep, Skyhold and several others, are somehow connected to their Gods.
Skyhold for example is connected to the Lady of the Skies... but also to Korth (The Mountain-Father), who seem to be more or less a human, who became a god, according to one of the old Avvaran songs.
“Most Avvars believe Korth is as old as Frostbacks themselves, but the Winter Song of the ancient Frosthold clan tells otherwise. According to this song, which is sung during Wintersend, Korth was a hunter who brought his people to the mountains at the dawn of time.”
Maybe those are the places in which meeting their Gods is more likely to happen? It sounds accurate when we take into the consideration that from Avvars perspective Spirits are the Gods. Not far from truth would be also a statement that some of their original Gods could become demons in the meantime and that we actually already met several of them.
Not to mention that Avvar Gods could be in truth elven Gods as well.
For me personally it’s interesting how it all seems to be connected to each other... as if the whole history of modern Thedas was run by the stories about three different individuals, who ended as several different Gods in every culture. Lady of the Skies for example sounds strangely like Mythal. A lot of stories about her also feature the forms, which we associate with Mythal, so everything is possible.
