How do you think Anne and Gilbert's reunion will be? Do you think it will be mileven emotional? Like Anne running into Gil's arms? Or do you think it will just be "Oh hey youre back" kind of vibe???

okay there’s a lot of ways i’ve planned it out in my head and they all make me scream (these always get sent right to @lydias–stiles lmao idk how ophelia puts up w me at this point) but i will give you the most likely of my headcanons.

i really think Gilbert is either going to see Anne again either by appearing at school or they’re going to bump into each other so suddenly we barely have time to register whats happening (all prefaced with rachel lynde gossiping about how Gilbert may be back). so imagine this:

the Avonlea school house. Anne and Diana are talking about something with the camera shot focused on them. in the back, so out of focus it would be easy to miss, the door opens. slowly, voices start raising and chatter breaks out. some boys even get up out of their seats and go to the door. the camera angle switches back to the back of Anne and Diana’s bench as they turn to see what’s happening. their faces drop. 

“Anne” Diana says through shock, “it’s

“Gilbert.” Anne finishes. 

the camera flashes to Gilbert, surrounded by his friends all speaking at once. but he is not looking at them. he is looking straight at Anne with a little smile on his face. CUT TO BLACK END OF EPISODE. IM ON THE CEILING, OPHELIA IS ON A FLIGHT TO COME SCRAPE ME OFF

basically, anon, i think their reunion is going to be somewhere in between. i definitely don’t think its going to be flippant like “oh you’re here” at all. from what we can piece together Gilbert is going to be gone for quite some time so seeing him suddenly back is going to cause shock. it also wouldn’t read well at all with the audience as almost all of the anticipation of Gilbert returning home for us is going to e seeing Anne again. to have it be “meh” is awkward and doesn’t fit with the plot they’ve already developed.

on the other hand, i think if Anne runs and hugs him it’s going to be a very quick thing where she forgets herself for a moment but then regains her composure. just character wise it’s what makes sense for me. 

i think it’s going to be a reunion that’ll leave us just the right amount of shook, anon (:

i’ve see quite a few people who didn’t like season 2 and even i’ll admit i didn’t like it as much as i thought i would and that kinda worries me

oh i loved it a lot. i’ve seen split opinions tho.
