There was no denying the way his hands shook when he stuck them into his pockets that night, the way he gnawed at his lower lip when he stepped out of his owner's residence. He had had the courtesy of telling Mikhail that he was going out, but when he realized a car had been sent to pick him up, his stomach had churned. Because in all honesty, he was unaware of what he was getting himself into, tight there and then. He simply knew he had been called for, and asked to be at a certain place at a certain time. He hadn't expected this, but when the driver asked his name and he calmly informed him, Emmanuel was asked to sit, so he did. The car door was held open for him, he slipped inside, seated on smooth leather and he couldn't help but to feel just a little bit wooed. As moronic as it sounded. But even so he was calm, his hands resting peacefully in his lap as he leaned back, gaze directed at the nature swooshing by the car-window. There was enough common sense in his mind to realize they were heading into the city and it made him a bit excited. He hadn't been there all too much yet after all, and there were so many things he had yet to experience. To merely see.
So his gaze remained glued to the outside world, eyes wide for a moment at least before he forced himself to calm down. He needed to act properly, because he had no idea whatsoever as to why he had been called out like this. But he had dressed well, and happily so now when everything seemed to be of fancy measure. His red strands of hair had been carefully styled into place, though of course made to look messy by his own will. He might have been cut off form society for years but he was still allowed to keep in touch with trends, a few things here and there. Because even though they had all been groomed into perfect little vampire playthings, they still needed to be capable of socializing as well as getting around, something Emmanuel knew he was bad at already. But he would make an effort to get better at it, now when he was actually eligible for a somewhat regular life — for a few years at least — he wanted to do as many things as he could. Of course.
When the car stopped and the door opened, he stepped out without a single trace of the vibrating nervousness he actually felt, looking around for a moment as he drew his lower lip in between his teeth. He had no idea where he could possibly have ended up, but when approached by yet another stranger and told to follow them, he did without questioning them. It didn't take long before they reached a door, one opened for him and he was politely told to wait, make himself at home a bit perhaps and then he was alone again. Feeling a bit... out of place he merely stood in the center of the room itself, seemingly an office, judged by the furnishing, and obviously owned by someone with a lot of money. It had him intrigued, for who could it be that had any business to conclude with him like this? Vampire or not.
