had to write something based off of this photo 🥰 he’s so cuuute
it was one am. you shouldn’t be up this late, in your rational brain you knew this, but you had to get caught up on your latest soap opera. in your defense, you were only half way paying attention, eyes fluttering closed.
a soft ding sounded from your cellphone on your nightstand. it was a snapchat notification.
you opened it and smiled at the selfie jaebeom sent you, giggling at his silly expression. the snap read, “you up 🤔🤔🤔🤔.”
you yawned, pulling your messy hair up into a ponytail and trudged down the stairs into his studio. he turned around in his chair at the sound of your slippers on the stairs and smiled warmly, pulling his headphones off his head and rested them on his neck.
“mmm, morning baby,” you greeted, toeing off your slippers and plopping yourself into his lap, facing him and throwing you arms around his neck. you kissed his cheek. “that snap you sent me gave me flashbacks to college when fratboys used to send me stuff like that,” you chuckled at yourself, clinging to him like a koala.
“im working on something and wanted you to hear it...but i still need to put the finishing touches on it...,” your boyfriend said huskily, trying to shift in his chair.
“are you suggesting i move?”
“uhm..”
“fat chance, jae,” you teased, and then, in a much more low, serious voice you confessed, “i missed you today. come back to bed with me.”
you couldn’t see his expression since your head was resting on his shoulder, but he was totally blushing.
“i missed you, more. but you know how it is, honey, i can’t leave the studio when creative juices are flowing...,” even in your sleepy state, you could hear the pout in his voice. you sighed, climbing off his lap.
“goodnight baby...,” jaebeom sounded defeated as you got off his lap.
“im not going anywhere, baby,” you whispered. you crossed the studio and laid on his leather couch. “i know you wanted company, so i’ll be here.”
jaebeom blushed, shaking his head. you knew him so well.
he got up from his chair and climbed up the stairs. “jae?” you called. minutes later, he came back down with a quilt and a pillow for you.
“i know you’re gonna crash here,” he smiled knowingly.
“am not,” you whisper, but your eyes were already feeling heavier than usual. he leaned down to kiss you.
“goodnight, sweetheart.”
