☆ ♦ ∇ - You know who, duh
Thank you so much! ♥ This made my day.
☆ - happy headcanon (my favourites!)
Bedelia and Hannibal really love passing touches. It is notjust for when they are in public (obviously Bedelia is not very fond of ostentatiousdisplays of affection), but mostly when they are alone. His fingersbrushing over hers when he hands a cup. Hers gently stroking his shoulder whenshe walks by him. It is always a brief touch, but also a gentle caressthey both adore. It is partially reminiscent of their therapy years, when everyaccidental and not-so-accidental touch carried an overload of electricity and desire. But the thrill is still there, sparks flying every time they touch, no matterhow fleeting. And they relish that connection between them. They do not need touse words to express their emotions and each of their touches carries affirmationof their love, no noticed by others and meant for them alone.
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
Quirks- well, there is that murder thing… Apart from that, Hannibal is a slight neat freak. This can be considered a part of his person suit development, every part of his life and him organised perfectly, nothing left to chance. But it definitely carried beyond that and became a part of his nature. You know he has a special way of folding his socks and no one else could do it right. Bedelia appreciates his neatness; she likes order as well, not being fond of any form of chaos. Back in Baltimore, Hannibal would be a guy who would attempt to make a bed while you were still in it and probably succeed. But not with Bedelia. :) They really enjoy making that kind of a mess together.
Hobbies- there are the obvious ones: Bedelia likes painting and horse riding (and hunting), Hannibal likes to draw her naked and play/ compose on the piano. They also enjoy just being together in comfortable silence, like reading. Sometimes they read out loud for each other, usually in bed; Bedelia splayed on his tummy, using him as table of sorts, her fingers brushing over taut muscles while Hannibal strokes her hair.
∇ -. old age/aging headcanon
They both aren’t fond of the signs of ageing on themselves, but the other person loves it to bits!
Bedelia might have never relied on her beauty, but she does not enjoy seeing the progress of time on her skin, seeing it as a form of weakness. She uses the best cosmetics, ensuring her good looks last. Obviously, she always took good care of her body and does not look her age. She does not like the bits of grey hair appearing on her temples, she watches its progress with annoyance. Hannibal loves the grey hair and the wrinkles around her eyes. You can tell by the fact that he kisses these spots a lot. He loves the fact that she is a mature woman and everything about her (and I love that so much!).
Hannibal is a vain person and also carefully observes the passing of time. He would not want to appear as every normal person (because he is above them): old. I am not saying he considered dying his hair while in Baltimore, but he totally did. In the end he decided it would look silly and unnatural, and he did not want that. Now his hair is slowly turning white and he looks somehow unpolished and very masculine. Bedelia loves that so much. (there’s a ficlet coming here).
They both look kind of timeless and otherwordly now, in Lecter Castle, striped off their pretences, veils and armours, being themselves and glowing, because they are happy.
