I read those 'soulmates can communicate through thoughts aus' and the first one with aisle 5 + oreos would be a funny cartinelli au. I know that cartinelli isn't the most popular ship at the moment, but it would be really cool, if you could write something for them :)
thanks for sending the prompt btw it just takes me ages to get to but it seems to be best when my brain is cluttered
Peggy has a knackering for Hydrox and not that she’s finally off work she can go get herself some.
What the fuck is a Hydrox?
“They’re fantastic is what they are,” Peggy says as she slings her bag over her shoulder.
“Goodnight, Maria,” Peggy says as she leaves her office hastily.
Peggy laughs to herself as she gets on the elevator.
Why can’t you think of Oreos like a normal person? Hydrox is such a knock off.
Peggy rolls her eyes. I’ll have you know that Hydrox was founded before Oreos.
Sure thing, English. After a moment, Angie’s voice comes to her. Great, now I’m craving Oreos.
Peggy laughs to herself and continues to make her way to the closest supermarket. As she does, Angie’s thoughts turn into reciting lines and monologues that she comfortably puts in the back of her mind as they usually do.
“Sorry, have you got any Hydrox here?” Peggy asks the young worker.
He stares at her in confusion. “Uh, do you mean Oreos?”
Peggy does her best to roll her eyes. “Sure.” She might as well bite the bullet. It’s not like she wants to go searching through all bodegas in Manhattan at the moment. It’s not like she’d be able to find it in the city anyway.
“Aisle five, ma’am,” he says politely before moving on.
Ma’am? How old does he think I am?
You sound old. Who in this era gets Hydrox? Get some Oreos like a normal person.
I grew up off of Hydrox .They were gran’s favorite. Peggy feels her stomach grumble. She should probably find some dinner too. Alright, aisle five.
Peggy has to do a double take at the same thought that comes across her mind. She rounds the corner quickly for aisle five to make sure. She furrows her brows when she sees an empty aisle.
Are you here? Peggy thinks rather loudly.
Before Peggy can think, she feels a bump into her back.
“Oh, sorry about that,” a woman with light brown curls apologizes. “Just looking for some Oreos.”
Peggy tilts her head. “Angie?”
“Peggy?” Angie looks at her in awe as she takes a step back. “Wow, you look better than I imagined.”
Peggy feels her cheeks warm. “Thank you? As do you.” She swallows. “This is a bit awkward. I wasn’t expecting to run into you here.”
Angie laughs. “Yah, go figure, all of New York and our paths cross when we’re looking for Oreos.”
“Go figure,” Peggy says affectionately. She’s already forgotten about the Oreos because finding Angie’s much better.
