Also, it's fine, you're not being bitchy at all! I completely agree with you that fan bases overreact to everything, and that this uproar over the title was ridiculous. I was just pointing out that there can be a few valid complaints on Jackson's adaptations, despite the fact that they were not bad movies at all. Have a perfect day.

But yes, I agree with you. I think that Peter could have changed some things to make it better, but the movies can't be perfect. Everyone is always going to be disappointed in someone. I think they are great movies that do the book justice, and that is enough.

Well, he did seriously change Thranduil’s general attitude/behaviour, too. Comes up to battle and then turns away? Racist towards Silvan elves? What? Unreasonable and badly scarred? I loved Lee Pace’s portrayal, but was taken aback!

I might need to read the Hobbit again, but didn't Thranduil do that in the book? It is why Thorin and Thranduil do not get along. And I wasn't aware he was being racist towards Silvan elves. He made Tauriel captain of the Guard, a high honor, in my opinion, and I can understand his reasoning behind not allowing her to pursue any relationship with Legolas. He is a prince, she is not royalty. It's how things are. I do understand the scarring and how that could have been taken the wrong way, but I think it's an interesting addition and it didn't really take away from the main story line, so I see no problem with Peter adding it.

goshsh i dont get it, i was so stressed in the morning but i took a walk to my school and all the worries were gone. it felt like another boring mock exam. it wasn't so bad, but right before the second part i got a nosebleed and started freaking out that they will nullify my exam cuz i won't be able to write it ;_; but everything's okay now. good lack, dear! xx
