rapidly gained popularity after the show and was rolling in endorsements and enjoying the high follower counts etc

and tbh it wasn’t more like a one time scandal it was more like a multitude of claims that she a) stole boyfriends/husbands b) bullied peers in her school years c) cheated on her boyfriends d) had sugar dads/sponsors e) scammed people f) did drugs h) kicks puppies

^ i can confidently tell you at least 3 of these claims are true

anyway her manager or w/e thought its too risky to promote her or anything so just Kindly Suggested she kick it somewhere out of seoul while things died down

001. BACKGROUND

trust fund baby living off his daddy’s money

was meant to take this time to do an internship (one his father got him through connections so like whatever)

however, he upped and left after a night out with some friends (which was when he got dared to stay at maehwa)

honestly agreed to the dare when he was high af (bad idea) but his pride wouldn’t allow him to take his words back

it would not be a reach to say that this is one of the biggest struggles he’s had to face in life (lol) — he’s always lived in the city, with maids and chauffeurs to make his life easier, imagine living in a secluded mansion nowhere near civilisation

his father is enraged but coddles him too much to cancel his credit cards (he’s mostly worried he wouldn’t be able to survive without them which is very true) 

i’d like to think that this is a good time for him to meet people from different walks of life to ~widen his worldview~ lol

002. PERSONALITY

prideful (very), frankly puts his pride before everything

egoistic, can be a bit of a narcissist 

extremely hedonistic, pretty much lives to have fun 

also the life of the party, will probably bring some fun to the residents at maehwa

very flirty, but arguably sucks at it (though his charisma always saves the day)

spoilt brat who has never lived a day of hardship so you might find him complaining about a thing or two at the mansion

but is adaptable and a fast learner so he’ll fit in... eventually

outspoken and has no problems expressing his opinions and feelings (might need to tone down a little though) 

that bit about him often spotted leaving someone else’s room in the morning can go many ways, one night stands and/or him crashing in other people’s rooms when he’s too drunk to climb back into the attic

003. WANTED CONNECTIONS

the person that had dared him to stay at maehwa? he probably went all “ew” when they told him they were coming here and then they went “bet you couldn’t survive here” and it escalated to this point lol

BACKGROUND. 

lil mia was born to some big, well-known famous people.. her mom was an actress who you’ve probably seen in a few movies and her dad is a director who’s probably made some of your favourite movies..

she was born in seoul and her mom took a hiatus from acting to stay at home with her but after she grew up a lil more, her mom went back to work. so she has moved around a lot thanks to busy work schedules of mom and dad 

mom and dad were the “it” couple and mia was often forced into the limelight too but she honestly had no idea what was happening, she just thought that they were a fun, happy family 

mia naturally grew up around movie/tv sets and has had a fascination with this world ever since she was younger, she spent most of her teen years visiting sets and learning all that she could 

it was all fantastic until mia started to grow older and realise everything that was really happening

she didn’t realise this but after mia was born.. her mom wasn’t getting enough work and people often referred to her as a has-been, one hit movie a year wasn’t enough and her mom was..... struggling 

and because her mom got busy taking care of mia and her work.. dad started to pull away too , some nights he wouldn’t come home and the whisper arguments that mia started to hear.... 

there were always awful rumors going around like her mom was having an affair , or her dad was. or the family was falling apart...

while mia tried to focus on her goal of becoming a film director ( she also wanted to be an actress but after seeing what her mom was going through... put a pin on that ) , things at school kept getting worse 

classmates are mean and mia was a relatively chill , non-aggressive , out-going kid so she never really fought back.. 

until there was that incident in high-school where someone kept bad-mouthing her parents and mia kinda lost it and beat ‘em up and almost got expelled..

her parents thought it’d be best to send her away from everything so for college, mia went to the new york film academy to get her bachelors 

she worked on some well-received short films and was pretty good at what she did ( also a minor in photography but that was more of a hobby ) 

soon after she came back to korea , she landed a job at great production house and everything was looking perfect 

*record scratch* her parents tell her they’re getting divorced. 

her perfect world crumbled for sure this time and mia is a bit of a wreck essentially blaming herself for the divorce aha

she can’t focus on her job so... quits 

shoves everything deep down before deciding to get away and focus on something else.. like this revolutionary short film that’s going to get her all the awards and she can make a name for herself outside of her parents!!!!!

PERSONALITY.

mia is sort of an.. loved by all kinda person.... maybe because she’s a people-pleaser aha

additionally a push-over ( esp if you knew her back then ), but that has gotten better 

she’s a fun person over-all, here holding her camera all “you’re doing amazing, sweetie” like to support you 

but she can get caught up in things very easily,, like.. she might be in her room for three days straight, editing and she’s barely even eaten ahh no trauma a lil hyperfixation can’t fix 

she really hates feeling... sad and hates it when people around her are sad because she’s a firm believer of shoving problems way down and having a shot instead WOOO call her if you wanna not feel sad

is VERY serious about her career as a director.. she loves doing it and is also terrified of the thought that she can’t do much else besides that 

fame has sort of scarred her though and she’s also been weary of letting people close

TIMELINE

her parents had her on all the extracurriculars as a kid, trying to find the one thing that’d put their kid on the map. as with any good kid, she went with it & all those lessons

it took a while, but hari finally took to skiing first, then snowboarding, which was expensive as all hell but worth it when it scored her comfortable scholarships & a usually guaranteed spot given how small the snowboarding circuit was

always middle of the pack, 4th place tops—comfortably good, sometimes better, but never the best

& perfectly fine by her! she isn’t uncompetitive, but she also isn’t killing herself for a medal. she’s having fun & happy with where she’s at. snowboarding doesn’t have to be medal winning to be a long term career, she’s got a steady scholarship at snu with it, & it feels like she’s all set for life! she’s good at what she does & trains hard to be there

most importantly, hari’s perfectly content with the status quo. at least, when the expectations on her shoulders are only those of her own & her parents

but south korea’s snowboarding team is small. small enough that she, somehow, slides into the national team too. to the olympics

hari’s never won a medal, mostly unknown, & this is the biggest wave she’s made in her career as a snowboarder. now there are eyes on her. not many, for sure, snowboarding isn’t that popular a sport, but the weight of expectations that weren’t there before start to feel heavy

so she practices like crazy. way harder than she ever did, a schedule of jumps & flips & tricks through courses that have her speeding down slopes even in her dreams

& she doesn’t quite understand how, but—she wins silver in women’s slopestyle. a spot on the podium, for the first time ever, & she’s so excited until the expectations are replaced with a whole lot of attention she’s entirely unequipped to deal with

the first press conference goes by uncomfortably. it gets worse when she ends up on a tour for medalists, like going down a slope without her board & no practice runs. interviews go sideways the moment she opens her mouth & puts her foot in it

it’s so silly to complain when winning a medal is a good thing actually. she doesn’t run away, but its a close call. when everything’s done, it’s off-season & she gets a break, packing her bags so she can finally chill & relax in maehwa

a bit of a people pleaser, has grown a tiny lil backbone since but is still easily steamrolled into agreeing to things before she can think them through

hasty talker, fast to start a sentence & cut herself off halfway. gets worse & more stilted in front of cameras. her failed interviews have probably been remixed & stitched to hell & back 

also has mad stage fright / camera shyness! on the slopes, she gets to be all goggled up & a suit of aerodynamic warmth from head to toe, so pictures then are fine, but taking her picture off the slopes is 😭

has a secret reckless adrenaline junkie side to her, at odds with how awkward she is. she’s always down for something wild & stupid & possibly maiming hehe

really hardworking, but easily content. believes in the whole, the journey is the reward stuff, which means she’s not particularly ambitious either

gets in her head a lot, unless she’s on the slopes. prone to replaying conversations where she could’ve done so much better, & getting embarrassed over them out of nowhere

arrived in maehwa like yesterday & is finding her way around! she’s gonna be here til the end of summer

gets scouted for fc seoul outta high school!! he goes off quickly to do his military service then comes back n has been playing for the national team ever since!!

anw the downfall starts when he gets a,, rlly bad injury in one of the games, n jaehyun being the man he is refuses to rest and keeps pushing n he Really damages it for good,, has to get knee surgery and he’s out of the game for 6 months yikes ( recovers from surgery ~beginning of 2021 )

when he gets back he never quite gets back to his former glory 😩✋ he starts playing again but he gets injured So Easily and there’s talk of fc seoul wanting to sell / drop him bc even tho he has gr8 skills, he gets injured too often rip

starts panicking n Dreading that him and his grandma are gna go back to his life of poverty if he loses soccer, bc he literally has No Other Talent

around the same time he catches wind of some of the soccer players contemplating match fixing,, basically what it means is people usually bet on the outcome of the game, and the players anonymously bet against their own team and sabotage the game so they get a huge payout

knowing that his career in soccer is prob coming to an end, out of his desperation he starts doin the same thing oop ,, this goes on for a year until him and the other soccer players get found out mid 2022 ( so like last month teehee ) and a Huge Scandal breaks out

all of them get dropped from the team obv and banned from playing soccer, jaehyun included 😩✋ n there’s people in seoul literally spitting on him when he’s walking past the street like tf

anw the leo rising in him is rlly Not Dealing Well w all this hate n one panicked night, decides to look up places to run to where people don’t know his name 😩 during his search he finds out ab the secluded maehwa mansion that recently opened up, so he packs his bags n the rest is history!!

he moved in like literally yesterday n the plan is to j wait out the scandal until it dies down, then Maybe he can go back to seoul or chuncheon to have a,, Normal life w the insane earnings he got from a) bein a soccer player n b) the match fixing hoho

hi everyone! here i am introducing you to hyeri! if you would like to plot, please leave me a like and i will get to you via ims or you can just blatantly add me on discord anytime (molf hunter#0698) and we can get our midnight talks going on there... anyways, i am a bit late but extremely excited to get to know everyone! hyeri’s pages might not all work right now, but i will give an update whenever they do! and, underneath the read more, there is a little summary about the girl. 

the ryu family is fairly normal, however expectation had always been high. hyeri has got an older brother who seems to be more succesful at life – definitely casting her as the black sheep of the family. 

the attention had never really been on her, thus she often acted up when she was younger, having to learn how to get things to go her way – no matter how. 

she managed to get through life without many problems, sure, there were the usual scoldings here and there for doing something dumb, but all went well throughout high school, so well that she was even allowed to to go to university and study literature. 

easily distraced and full of herself, hyeri didn’t get very far with her usual antics. she was fialing classes and she wouldn’t admit it to her parents, she just thought she might get through things no matter what because... well, she was ryu hyeri. it always worked out, right? 

being distracted by her surroundings apparently wasn’t enough for her, and she quickly found romance. being excited about this; the first time she would feel these feelings for someone else, hyeri quickly became unbearable. there wasn’t a second she didn’t want to spend with this other person and she had to learn the hard way that... life shouldn’t be this intense. 

after only a month, the breakup was inevitable, but she didn’t quite understand. in dramas, you just had to be persistent, right? and persistent she was. too persistent. apparently, your ex doesn’t like it when you appear at their dorm room at midnight, begging them to let you in. 

but hyeri thought this was romance and that, if she continued trying, like with everything else, she would eventually make it and win this person’s heart back. but... she didn’t. 

what she got was a restraining order. now with all her information on a police file and having to move out of university due to this order, she had to contact her parents, which quickly became another problem – her failing courses didn’t help the cause. 

once again, there was a scolding, and it seemed like the world was sick of her. it basically happened overnight that a room was arranged for her, somewhere far off, with the excuse of ‘you can follow your dreams of becoming an author there’. it was an excuse, but it was good enough for hyeri. 

her bank account looks... bad at best, and with her parents having her exiled, there won’t be much coming in either. 

hyeri is currently trying to write a crime novel, collecting ideas and updating her blog, hoping that the few clicks she gets will keep her afloat until she makes it big as the next edgar allan poe or something like that. 

inside her brain:

hyeri is a bit of an eccentric, she is convinced of herself and very prideful, so she doesn’t take criticism too well... or she just choses to ignore it. 

she gets attached extremely easily. whatever interests her will take up her entire attention span and she will hate doing anything else but whatever she is fixated on. 

she often spends time just ... in her head, imagining and daydreaming, often times too much, instead of actually being productive. 

once she makes a friend, she is an extremely good friend – she blabbers too much, but she will still listen, even if it sometimes might seem like words enter one ear and go right through the other... she will remember little details about others.

in true me fashion, i had too much going on to make it to opening but ‘sup party animals, it’s ya girl moon! shin byeol, 24, seoul resident but recently moved into maehwa (think....a month ish????) and just isa-ri in general

now you may be wondering why she’s there 🥴 same here buddy

tl;dr is that she used to be an idol trainee, jumped around many companies since she was 15 and was on a promising road to debut at her last company but she fucked around (literally) (i’m jk about that last part) and screwed up her achilles tendon

she got surgery and all should have been well but i mean, she injured herself when she was 20 and by the time she recovered 90% she was no longer at a good enough age to debut according to the company :////

ended up going to school instead and graduated from ehwa with a degree in communications and media studies (don’t ask me what this means)

should have been happy and moving on with her life but she still had a lot of trainee contacts or people who had already debuted in her circle which only seemed to cause her pain and made her feel like she failed at life 

heard about this quaint little countryside with a spacious sharehouse with cheap rent so she said fuck it, imma pack my shit up and go

didn’t really think this plan out, if you ask me, but she’s just vibing and trying to figure out what’s next

catch her making your coffee (possibly incorrectly but give her a break, it’s her second week 🙄) at dalkom café or if you happen to be wandering the premises, it’s likely she’ll be around with a camera in hand too

born n raised in chicago, babey! moved to seoul with her family when she was 14, and started attending school there. was kinda shy because she’s a heritage speaker and felt awkward expressing her, so she started writing, and then eventually, drawing.

mom’s ur typical overachiever (had an econs degree she never used) and enrolled yuna in lots of supplementary classes when she was younger. when she found out yuna liked to draw, she enrolled her into a hagwon that did... absolutely nothing but waste her time. yuna ended up quitting and got into a huge fight with her mom about it, where some very hurtful words were said. mom brought her a fruit plate afterwards n neither of them ever apologised for it and are just pretending like nothing happened. 

they focus their attention on lil bro, who’s much smarter than yuna. (was accepted to med school in uchicago recently!!!) in her second year of hs, mom moved back to chicago with lil bro to take care of her parents (also bc lil bro is a fucking genius when he’s doing the american syllabus lmaoo) & yuna stays in seoul w dad to finish high school up.

the first chapter of her manhwa is released in 2018 (3rd yr of hs), and slowly starts to gain popularity and a bit of a cult following. there are even forums dedicated to talking about the comic & theories (!!!!!!) and for the first time yuna feels genuinely passionate abt something. instead of studying, she just draws for the manhwa.

eventually oversleeps and misses the csat. laughs about it on her public instagram and wishes the other test-takers good luck & goes back to sleep. 

(her mom gets on a flight back and chases her around the house when she finds her daughter’s name trending at #2 on naver for missing the suneung. her dad thinks it’s kinda funny.)

bc of this, she finally explains to her parents that it’s #notaphase and she’s actually earning money from it! mom’s still pissed n dad wants her to retake the exam tho so :/

just in time, she herself goes viral after the suneung incident! it’s not everyday u see a cute high school student drawing body horror, and the manhwa’s popularity and viewership go up bc of it. she’s offered a proper contract with a Real Monthly Salary, and moves into a goshiwon to focus on finishing the manhwa & to escape her parents’ nagging.

moved into maehwa vvvvv recently (like. a week ago?), because after finishing mitm, she’s started work on a new series! premise is a haunted house (based off maehwa, ofc!) and that’s... really all she knows so far.

PERSONALITY

brash in a new york type beat but means well!!!

sometimes just settles in the most inconvenient places to draw. srry ur muse has to step over her to use the bathroom.

either doesn’t sleep at all or sleeps for 17hrs straight. pitfalls of not having a schedule for self-regulation.

hasn’t unpacked, but has already had so many of her online shopping packages shipped here that the entire 2nd floor is a fire hazard. srry neighbours... she is aggressively american tho and so she’s gonna go around knocking on doors and actually talking to people n offering them extra food she ordered/made.
