So, technically not my first post...
But I suppose I should put some sort of actual "what the heck is this thing about" post up. First of all, it will not just be bees; promise. Second, please for the love of god do not ask me "why are all the bees disappearing?" or the like, because you will get a giant response, and I will not format it into paragraphs, so your eyes will bleed. I will likely cover this topic later on in my posts. This is my "introductory" post and it will not cover why the bees are not disappearing.
I'm a twentysomething nerd living in the near-south, and I rock various nerdly ways -- trained in biology, love morphology and taxonomy, can at least fake understanding much genetics stuff at coctail parties (you don't discuss genetics at coctail parties, you're going to the wrong sort), and aside from that, I'm also a tabletop gamer (D&D 3.5 is my major framework), computer and video gamer, and I do art and writing and lots of snark and awkward crossovers ("Son, everything the light touches is our kingdom." "But what about that shadowy place?" *clears lion throat* "Those are the forests of the Vashta Nerada. We don't go there.") and home improvement. Someday I'll own chickens and goats and be a crazy survivalist, but for now, I'll content myself with reading. Oh, and I'm also a feminist and really stubborn.
So, now you know, as much as I do, what this blog is about. Also, is the verb "to tumble" or "to tumbr" or just "to post"? Just curious.
