I'm trying to think of really obscure musicals but I have a feeling no matter what you're given you're gonna be able to connect them.
Obscure is usually easier because you tend to find the same people involved in those really random, off-beat musicals.

ZOMG that would have been BRILLIANT! I really hope Ivy doesn't get kicked out of the role, that would just be so fucked up. Also, thoughts on the Michael/Julia affair? Personally, I hate that I love it. I should not be shipping people who are cheating on their spouses...but I totally do.
I know Uma Thurman is coming in to play some big-name start, ostensibly to pose a threat to Ivy's keeping the role for a larger production.
I'm not a huge fan of the Michael/Julia thing. Though I don't dislike it as much as I dislike any and all storylines involving Leo.
I just wanted to give her a hug. I get that they're trying to play up Ivy's bitchiness but I feel like Karen is being forced on us, like we have to root for her because she's the underdog....but..Ivy is fantastic. And being a little bit of a bitch isn't always a bad thing. Especially when it's something that can be needed at times. (like proving to people you're just as good as your tony award winning mother)
I'm so over them trying to shove Karen down our throats. If they'd cast someone as Karen who could feasibly play Marilyn, that'd be one thing. But Karen is so wrong for the part that it's just laughable.
A friend of mine suggested that Mandy Moore should've been cast as Karen. I, personally, totally agree.
Can we just fangirl for a moment over how perfect Megan Hilty is and how much Ivy just really deserves a big cuddle?

Yes, Ivy is kind of a bitch, but after seeing the scenes with her mom tonight it all makes so much more sense. Spending ten years in the ensemble when your mom has a Tony Award must SUCK.
